To whoever asked about tattoos- I have full body tattoos (everything covered but my hands neck and stomach for now) and yeah, i have to keep it covered, I’d rather die than let my partner see my chest tattoo. But someone like me or someone with even a sleeve of tattoos is a lot different personality wise than the tiny Pinterest tattoo you got on spring break. They probably won’t care. Dainty little tattoos are very common. (I’m speaking on public accounting in tax)

Wow! I watched some of your videos already and this is first time I bumped to this video and I'm surprised you are Filipina, I do too. I'm just one of your followers and I bump into you because I'm about to get my CPA license. I'm a late bloomer when it comes to accounting. I'm 52 years old now and I just finished my Master in Accounting this year and don't get me wrong I starting taking classes when I was in mid-20's because I am taking classes one by one every semester but still proud that I finished all of them except CPA still working on that. My question is how do you plan when you are in the middle of studying to get your CPA license?

Additional question, what is your opinion on industry “entry level” accountant with 10yrs experience considering transitioning into public by sitting for the CPA? Too late to switch to public, since experience may not transcend and you may start out with entry level staff who are 10yrs younger than you? Stay in industry but use masters or CPA to continue to advance your career with another company since experience may transcend?

Hello Stephie, I am currently in public accounting but one day I would like to move to industry because it is just too much work. What i am afraid of is that public accounting is interesting, you never get bored (at least me). I am afraid that when moving to industry everything would be too much of a routine, you think that's the case for most accounting related jobs? (Controlling,etc)

What would you recommend if the bachelor's isn't accounting or business? I have an education degree, not sure if I want to get a masters that will only let me focus on accounting since I haven't worked the field yet

Please do the video expanding on different accounting jobs and what they do. Also can you include how to find entry level accounting jobs? Thank you

Hi! I just want to share that from my experience, I was able to find some entry-level accounting jobs through my school's career site and through some job agencies (Accountemps, etc). I got interviews from both sources and landed on a job through a job agency in the end.

@@xmitsukix Hi! I have a question that does the agency charges a fee for job search?
@xmitsukix
6 жыл бұрын
Nope, they don't charge a fee for the job search. They earn money by taking a percentage of your wage/salary if their client (the company/firm) hires you. If you happen to find an agency that charges you, look for a different agency.

I see that you didn’t go for your graduate degree but rather you took your classes in a non degree seeking program to become eligible. Do you think not getting a graduate degree has prevented industry jobs or is the cpa better than a graduate degree? Thanks!

You should do Jucy's paw print. Thank you for doing these! I have a question for #askstephie. Is there any way to work outside of the USA with a US CPA license? Specifically moving and working to Russia.
@josep9599

Gery H. Yes a US CPA license is recognized as the gold standard all over the world. There are some countries, however, that have their own public accounting certification like the CA exam in Canada and India. You would obviously need to be fluent in the local languages as well.

Love the information. Currently in the Navy about to get out and relocate to Houston. Trying to figure out where to find what schools that allow me to be CPA eligible. Would you happen to know where I could find that source?

May I ask: I know there is a difference between BA in Accounting vs BBA in Accounting. However, am not sure if it does matter when it comes to employment. Thank you,

Quick accounting question, I have an ACCT degree, looking to get my CPA with the WGU MS program, is that the cheapest way to get CPA?
@BlackAnt27
4 жыл бұрын
If you have an actual 4 year bachelor's degree the cheapest way to become a cpa is just to go to a community college and take 30 credit hours (approved courses based on your state) to get your 150 to sit. A masters anywhere will always be more expensive.
