Wann hat Dich ein Funkloch mal so richtig geärgert? Welche Erfahrungen hast Du mit der Digitalisierung in Deutschland gemacht?

When u first move to Germany as a foreigner this outstanding lack of digital infrastructure (and seeming indifference) is funny, cute and maybe a bit charming. However, after awhile it's purely maddening, especially when you consider the ingrained stubbornness of businesses and regulators. Here you have what could be the beating heart of a utopian, connected Europe which is on-board with the new information economy. Instead you have one of the most innovative economies in the world that just won't get out of its own way. It's a damn shame. There are signs of hope in the new generation of Germans. I hope they can turn this one around.

Sadly the key reasons for the lack of digitalization are not mentioned! I thought about the licences telcom providers need to purchase from Germany. The government should enforce a 100% coverage instead of collecting money. Besides this, germany´s history might be particularly important for their digital hesitations. Just think of the Stasi.

Die Sache mit dem Datenschutz nervt echt in Deutschland. Das die Daten nicht an Dritte weitergegeben wird, klar. Aber diese Angst vor allem, u.a. das dann der Bäcker aus der EC Karte meine Daten hat. Welche Daten? Bankname und Kundenname, das wars.

Germany must have the worst and most overpriced 4G plans in Europe. I pay Telekom €59 per month for a Samsung Galaxy S9 and 5 GB of mobile data. My signal drops down to 3G or H+ at least 5 times on my 30 min train journey to work. I travelled through the Netherlands, Ireland, Austria and the UK last year and never lost 4G signal once. Unlimited mobile data plans cost about €15 per month in those countries, whereas the cheapest unlimited mobile data plan in Germany just went down from €200 to €80 per month!!! The situation is shockingly bad in Germany, and the worst thing is that most Germans don't seem to be aware of it. Nothing will change while Telekom still controls most of the infrastructure, unless the EU intervenes.

I pay 7,99€for 3 GB. O2 unlimited costs 29,99€. You really should do some research before you post. People might believe it. We are way cheaper than other countries like the U.S.A. You make it sound as if we were the most expensive ones.
