99% of the league can't score on that play tbh. That was tough defense right there. Brooks is better than most people think he is.

As a defender why would you commit toward a direction more so than the offensive player .??? Especially when you are taller . I don’t think people really get it

Yup space is one of the most important things when defending. if kyrie is only taking small steps, if brooks takes lengthier ones, he gets beat bc of the overcommitment. easier said than done but managing ur space is key
@georgeofthejungle9193

it only works bc its kyrie and he's mr counter. But like 90% of the time if you end up beating them towards a side it makes it a lot easier to steal/stop the play
@user-oz5vl2ho8v

@itz_akuma Because when it’s Kyrie, he’s going to get to the rim and get his regardless. You just want him yo think a little bit more, expend more energy in hopes of making a mental mistake late in the game because of fatigue. Besides, if you know he’s getting to the rim anyways, do you want to continue to lead him towards your bigs so they can get in foul trouble. That’s all that’s going to happen. 😂 It’s basically an isolation play but on defense. “Everybody clear out,” 😂

the thing bout kyrie is, he will beat you even with tight defense even if you're physical he is good at playing through it regardless of his size and he will put his body on the line for a crazy finish. He got the complete package

People don’t even understand basketball it seems . It’s better to make small controllable micro movements then over step . Dillion brooks wanted to move too fast in certain directions even tho he had the height advantage . That’s a mental mistake , but I guess some people only see the physical .
