He spoke fluent Yoruba, much better than most of the others of his social class, including Yorubas. He was a very close friend of my Yoruba family and he always spoke in a mixture of English and Yoruba with my uncles and my mother.

He was fearless. Briafrans were overpowered for obvious reasons. You can't compare Armor tanks made by hand by the Igbos to the wealth of sophisticated War tanks and ammunition the British sponsored the Nigeria-side with

After which Ojukwu went for peace talks but the North refused to have a pact and instead declared war. The Briafrans were forced to war It's not that Ojukwu incited it

Ojukwu would have made a better leader than azikwe. Azikwe destroyed southern unity and started mistrust between southern tribes azikwe was also happy to sell his people for ceremonial presidency. Azikwe will also oppose secession just to spite awolowo and western Nigeria I'm sure of Ojukwu led east things would have been different
