Everything about this perfrmance is full of symbolic meaning .. from the background, the black dress worn by the choir, the little girl , the color red.. etc etc. It's a whole movie up there .. the first time is not enough ... Watching it several times starts to open your eyes to what the meaning is for you 😲 now how many songs can you say that about ???? Not one from any artist .. The inspiration for this piece is Dantes Inferno, see the background, the little girl is representative of our immortal soul, being spotless and childlike in order to enter the kingdom of heaven. There is much more to Dimash than fancy riffs and high notes, he is after all a classically trained opera singer and Igor is writing for his voice. The story is an allegory of what will happen if we give in to our passions, and that doesn't mean sex, it's the historic meaning, I absolutely loved this piece, I view it as a one act operetta and appreciate the work that has gone into this paring of incredible talents.

I love the complexity of this piece of music. I enjoy the disjointed organised chaos of the music and lyrics - it makes me listen harder and pick up more of the nuances of Dimash’s vocals. This work stunned me, the feeling that a balcony fell on my head. This is something incredible, I have goose bumps inside. This is an epic masterpiece! It is so theatrical and non-standard! This is HIGH art !!! You need to listen several times to understand this masterpiece! we are talking about transforming bodily passion into heart love) Just look at the projection in the background where Ad Bartolomeo Di Fruozino is shown)) and everything becomes clear. The choir in black represents our sinful passions, the little girl on the stage represents our SOUL, which is forever pure and innocent as a child (reference to the Bible and the words of Jesus Christ “He who does not accept the Kingdom of God in childhood will not enter it.”) We we live our lives full of passions, but we must remember that the SOUL lives in us, this is OUR REAL AUTHENTIC part of God. Nothing is lost in life until we remember it. We must fight our passions, since this struggle helps us strengthen our souls, we are talking about transforming bodily passion into heart love)) This reminds me of the words of Christ that only when we become children will we enter the kingdom of heaven. Dimash studied opera vocals for 5 years, but abandoned the career of an opera singer. He sings crossovers in which he has no equal.

This is a piece of a true art!! It is not that easy to accept thing like that for people that do not use to open there mind, souls for the deep things... as a true masterpiece it takes time to go back to it multiple times to take it as part of your own soul. Dimash ‘s unbelievable superb vocal and artistic are a perfect way to convey the depth of it...

That's definitely not just a "song" or "tune" by Dimash. That's a theatrical spiritual experience, a piece of art, for advanced audience.

This is a classically inspired specialty piece and so very different than the popular music that makes up most of Dimash's repertoire. Dimash's voice is so unique I am extremely happy he & Igor are trying songs like this and Ogni Pietra. I will be disappointed if Dimash doesn't have a failure or two along the way because that shows he is continuing to learn and grow. I should add that I think this was a very successful experiment that required reading the lyrics, the background and the vocals to fully understand and that more will be perceived upon subsequent viewings.

Also repeated listening is crucial in such complex pieces. I was a little taken aback at first, especially as I could not understand the hysterical yelling of the singer at the back and the slightly weird appearance of the little girl. However, after a little research and a lot of help from comments explaining the context, I returned to it and the more I listen the more I love it. On a side note the fact that a Jewish composer and a Muslim singer join to create a Christian theme based song is another subtle way to counter these hate filled times.

@@mhand00 I felt almost identically; told myself at first "what a strange piece" but definitely agree that it will grow on many who give it a second chance. Or third, which I'm about to do, all while wondering how I'll re-asess this one down the road. Dimash is testing us as well as himself...his progress as an artist pretty much demands opening doors. From metaphorically dipping ones' toes to diving in (off cliffs in his case) there's a sense of wonder and excitement in what is to come.

@@lilRadRidinHood Try watching this fan created MV for this song (kzitem.info/news/bejne/0pqNnY6NcJ1jl6w). I found that without the overpowering melodrama of the stage and background singers, the dancer here somehow makes it all come together much more organically. Sometimes over the top visuals can be jarring instead of enhancing the music, something I also experienced with the official music video of Love of Tired Swans.

I love Dimash's absolute unpredictability. I mean Dantes Inferno put into a song?! He is jumping from one genre to another (often within a song), it's impossible to put him into a box. He challenges himself and his audience as following him you listen to music you probably otherwise never would. Some like more his classical inspired pieces some more his more pop songs and he always delivers top quality but that's why his fanbase is so diverse there's something for everyone.

The fact that people are discussin its philosophy means Igor has succeeded. And Dimash isnt an ordinary singer just isnt. Now I cant imagine him doin usual stuff. Its just isnt enough. Feels to me like a theater piece, with a push/pull symbolism about being true to your essential purpose (passione tua) in spite of all the pressures to compromise your core values. And thank you for noting the "cool move" at 6:23 -- I would not have thought that run was physically possible!

Thank you SaWd for doing these reactions. I love this song the first time I heard it. The visual is spectacular. I think they used Dante's "Inferno". The lyrics are deep, speaking of man's constant struggle to choose between good vs evil; of man's choosing worldly appetites; that the path to heaven is pave w/ troubles, thorns & hardships and Dimash interpretation is just superb! Amazing! Igor has found his perfect match.

There are lot of metaphors going on in this song In the beginning darkness and torment within oneself. When the little girl appeared(innocence) after she appeared the song went lighter and higher. Very complex song you have to break it down and look at all of the elements. Blessings to you ❤️💕🌎☮️🇺🇸. Also look at the background how it changes in the intro looks like hell a fight within oneself good/bad or evil. Then the background changes. Epic performance and stage setting. I must agree I wish the light girl would have hummed a different melody. But the woman in black and the little girl both had their parts to play. ❤️💕🌎☮️🙏🏻🇺🇸💖🇰🇿

Hello, for me the most beautiful song ever, and sense. i saw him live 2 times live, the last was this year in his home land in Arnau. but this after saw Ogni Pietra sang by him is in another level for me. The choir in black represents our passions, the little girl on stage represents our SOUL which is eternally clean and innocent as a Child (reference to the Bible and Jesus Christ words "He who does not accept the kingdom of God as a child will not enter into it.") We live our lives full of passions but we need to remember there's a SOUL living in us, it's our REAL AUTHENTIC part of God. Nothing is lost in Life till we remember it. Very Russian spiritually oriented epic song with the reference to Russian Orthodox Religeous Symbolism: we should fight our passions but never hate them as this struggle helps us to strenthen our souls. thank you for your beautiful reaction , best regardes from Dimas Kusaibergen Portuguese Fun Club * Subscrive!

I'm hoping that I'm misinterpreting your quote but the Bible doesn't say that if you don't accept God when you're a child you won't enter into the kingdom of heaven. It says you should be like a child. In other words believe and accept with the innocence and untainted acceptance of a child. I hope this is what you meant. As a Christian I just though to point it out, just in case.

Hi, TX for tour honest and funny reactions👍 I love and enjoy this song too❤️Dimash is an universal singer which means his fans are universal too. Because of his different and colourfull tastes of music styles that his fans and audiences will nog be dividend so easily. Everyone has their kind of music style and genre they want to hear and like the most. It's normal but the most important thing is of we appreciate the talent of the artist. And Yess with Dimash we do because he creates art.....and this touches everyone's soul. For example I didn't love opera at all but thans to Dimash I appreciate it now Thank you DIMASH.

I didn't instantly fall in love with this song when i first listen to it. Although it is apparent Dimash did an AMAZING job singing and presenting this performance, not to mention all those crazy vocal techniques he did, those high and low whispery/breathy notes is super cool. However, after listening for the second time, again and again with headphones, i can discern some small details more, i fall in love with this song! the shouting woman, the kid walking around touching everyone, her voice changing from right earbud to the left with bell sound and the crickety sound(idk what's that, it was like an old toy circular switch that you twist to play it), those creepy instrumental sounds in horror movie plus someone's scream in the background, the heavy breathing of someone before Dimash high notes as if she/he was chased by something or running away from serial killer LOL i freakin love every second of it. I understand tho if people don't really like it, i just hope they won't hate it or complain to Dimash because after all i'm sure Maestro Igor and Dimash work hard on this song and i don't want anyone to bash it just because it's not catering to their taste, please don't. At the very least you can just appreciate their hard work.

So it took me a few times to "get" this song. I like it somewhat, and then each time I listened to it, I liked it more and more. The story is basically how you are going to have to go through a lot to see through your passions. You will feel heartbreak and be dragged through the mud, but in the end, it will be worth it. The break in the middle was the woman was basically a dark force, a dark passion. And the little girl represents hope and innocence. When he hits the other break, it's him, in essence, reconciling the two forces within him. But yeah, it's not something easy to digest on first go. What I like about Dimash and the songs he chooses (through covers, his own compositions or working with masters like Krutoy) they usually run pretty deep. But he's also an entertainer, and he will sometimes do something poppy. He just challenges himself, and as such he will only get better and better. Thanks for your analysis! Showing you don't automatically just on the "it's great" shows you are discerning in taste.

Bravo to Dimash!!! This was a beautiful performance! Epic! You need to see the video of this performance that has the English subtitles. When you see the lyrics then you will understand what this beautiful song represents. First of all, you'll notice at the opening of the song, that the music sounded like a church choir. This song has to do with good and evil, God and the devil. God is good and just and righteous, and the devil is evil and unjust and unrighteous. The white suit that Dimash is wearing and the white dress the little girl is wearing, represents purity, innocence, and that which is good and right. And the black that the backup singers are wearing... and the woman who sings, who is also wearing black, represents evil, and ungodliness, and temptation. This song represents the struggle between the two -- a struggle that all mankind deals with. At the end of the song, you see in the background an angel descending, which represents victory over evil. Only God can overcome the devil and all that is evil; and only through God, can mankind resist the temptation to do evil ... for we have all sinned! There is so much evil in the world today. God is our only hope. It begins with each of us individually, by giving God our whole heart and life. Every day we all struggle with various things in our lives, but God is the answer. He wants to help us with the things we struggle with. I, personally, can testify to this.

This song pushed me out of my comfort zone. But... it *did* take me on a journey. It *is* story-telling. And Dimash did something I never imagined a human could ever do with that ridiculous upward run. That wasn't a glissando, it was a staccato run. He hit every single note exactly faster than I can blink. That's just impossible. *Nobody* does that. So, the story. You need to realize that the passion Dimash is singing about is not the sinful passion he sang about earlier. It's religious in its origins; the passion of Christ on the cross, or at least, that's the root of it. I think he's telling us - warning us? - that we will experience suffering and exultation like Jesus did, in the course of our lives. The religious symbolism was thick: the angelic choir. The church bells. Some of the early phrases Dimash sang could have been lifted from 16th Century monkish chants. The stagecraft - religious paintings ascending and descending. And the little girl probably represents purity: uncorrupted innocence. Or something. But it's not a simple matter of praising God in this song; it's advisory. He's speaking to *us.* I think he's telling us that we will experience highs and lows when we love, but I'm not entirely sure. Even though I'm not sure, I felt that he took me from a starting point and delivered me to an end point, with interesting sights and sounds along the way. It was dramatic. And bizarre. Okay? Let's get that out right away. This is a very strange song and a very strange performance, with a woman screaming, the little girl singing some sort of nursery rhyme, it sounds like, with Dimash doing ridiculous vocal gymnastics we've never heard from any singer in the world, ever. It's a kitchen sink performance, everything in the kitchen thrown in and a few items from the living room for added flavor. It's larded up with religious symbolism, it's got visual motifs from Orthodox Christianity and is grounded in a Christian idea of passion, but Dimash is a Muslim (I think) and Krutoy is a Jew. So the message can't be restricted to Orthodoxy; it's broader than that. Krutoy is attempting to speak to universal truths. Are they universal? I suppose that will depend on the listener. Which kind of undermines the universality of it, but I think that was what he was striving for. We could really stand to hear from someone who knows a lot more about this composition that we do. I hope Gloria Wu will give us a backstory video; that could help enormously. Meanwhile, my takeaway is that ridiculous upward run. That was memorable. Even if we discard the rest - not that we should - that run should be fixed in our memories as part of the accumulating evidence that Dimash is a once-in-a-century singer. We've never heard the like before; we will almost certainly never hear another singer do that in our lifetimes, unless it's Dimash himself doing it.

The run was really something! For me the dramatic high point, at least as far as the vocal performance is concerned, is when he holds that whistle E6 and then suddenly drops back into the full, belting tenor - with the ultra-dramatic sweep of his arm! After that, the excitement is non-stop, until he goes back to the breathy low tones for the end. Truly magnificent!!
