We ‘Dears’ don’t care about Dimash’s ‘dinglish’ , we love him & his music! You’ll learn to care too over time.

You are likely not used to hearing a song in English that is not 100% pop which is basically a song using your speaking voice with no variations in the notes. Dimash sings very few songs in 100% speaking voice due to how he wishes to produce the sound of each musical note. He is like a Michelangelo or Rembrandt painting in many colors on a wide canvas of possibilities. If you have the ability to use all colors, why would you restrict yourself to paint in one color? Personally I am always amazed and thrilled at how he uses his voice as a musical instrument which is why he inserts a vocal instrumental in many of his compositions. 😍

I definitely recommend Dimash’s songs: SOS Slavic Bizarre version. Sinful Passion, olimpico, Qairan Elim, One Sky - the official MV, Stranger - live, Unforgettable Day - it’s a true story of two parents who save their son during a tragic incident He speaks Kazakh, Russian, and English fluently, while he’s singing, he rounds out some of the English words so that he can use more of his oxygen for the most powerful areas. ☺️ you’ve just scratched the surface of the GOAT musicians, I can’t wait to see you react to more! ☺️👏🙌🤘 He can hold some notes for 20+ seconds. He does it many times in the songs I recommended above. If you see him drop down lower on the ground, he uses that position to force as much strength and oxygen as he can in that part, which is the ending of the song. He’s just stunning to listen to and watch!! 🤯♥️🥰

Although we adore Dimash's "dinglish," I fully understand your comment about his accent in this particular song. I personally would have loved this song just as much if he would have sung the lyrics in Kazakh or Russian, as he did in "Zhalyn." I didn't see the need for him to sing this one in English at all.

I understand the issue with the difference in inflections.. When BandMaid (Japanese) sings in english I have a similar problem. I suspect this was filmed after a period of time where he had been speaking Kazak, Russian, or Mandarin regularly. I always see the problem as me having a "lazy international ear".🙄 Ironically, the most difficult english for me to understand is Newfie from my own country, then second would be Southern USA. I remember during a visit to Georgia, asking a Black Americain for directions who's accent was so thick, I could not make head nor tail of what he was saying.🤭😂😂😂 In the end, I had to thank him, then go ask someone else.Mind you, the Boston accent is pretty challenging as well.😅😏 I find UK, Auzzie and Kiwi accents very easy. But the absolute worst is Central African, and Indian/Pakistani speaking english, at least for my ear.😭😭😂😭😭 I always feel sick to my stomache when they start speaking english because I know I will look like an idiot.😪 Thank you for sharing your impressions of "Smoke" with us❤️👍 🥰🥰Greetings from a Canadian Dear🇨🇦

Haha, I have trouble understanding the southern USA accent as well. It takes some time to tune your ear to it. I can say the same about the British accent too. Forget about Australia! 😂

Haha, tell that to the Korean that sang “Gundam Style,” Or Falco, “Amadeus, Amadeus,” Or the Beatles, Or the Beatles… Come together… “He wear no shoeshine he got toe-jam football He got monkey finger he shoot coca-cola He say "I know you, you know me" One thing I can tell you is you got to be free Come together right now over me” Or even Queens “Bohemian Rhapsody,” when it first came out. Heck I couldn’t understand various English speaking bands from different English speaking countries, that were top hits from some Aussie groups… but I liked them. Not saying Dimash can’t improve, he himself does say that. Try the music video, “When I’ve Got You,” if you haven’t done it yet. The accent works, because he is a vampire, and well vampires always have an accent in the classic vampire movies… 😊 Native Southern California gal here!

@@reneedevry4361 I get it! That same thing has often happened to me. And I confess that I'm starting to feel the vibe of "Together," even though I don't really care for its rather mediocre mainstream feel compared to other Dimash songs.

Wow. You care that Dimash has an accent... Not much of an accent. I can understand every word easily. I guess some people get bothered. I don't understand that. I find accents charming. So, I guess you can't help it if it annoys you. Maybe it's because I know and love many people, where English isn't their first language.

It wasn't an accent I was describing. It was the inflection of the words. His English is great I am just not used to hearing international singers in English.

No one adores Dimash more than I do, and I don't care what language he is singing in, but I fully understand the reactor regarding this particular song and performance. For whatever reason, the Dinglish is way more pronounced in this song than is usual.
