Isn't q supposed to be negative? Afterall it's the charge of an ELECTRON, not a positron. It worries me no one in the comments caught this. I'm a Mechanical Engineering student for christ's sake.

Update: q is the MAGNITUDE of the charge of an electron. Also known as the charge of a positron. Minus signs matter, people.
