The originator of this song was Gary "U.S." Bonds, The song entitled "Quarter to Three" was recorded live with the same music months earlier & went to number one in 1961. Dion liked it & recorded it with the alternate lyrics & that went to number one. Check out Gary's version Jamel, very raw, unique & unfortunately forgotten by most. It's here on KZitem.

I was one year old when this came out. I'm almost 61 today and it still rocks! I LOVE timeless music. I wonder is Sue is still playing the game? ;-) Short! I will always have a certain dislike for radio station song length limits. At LEAST reach the 3 minute mark! Peace to all! Stay healthy! Let the music play!

Both songs were on Dion's first solo album titled "Run Around Sue" in 1961. Notably "Dream Lover" written by Bobby Darin . Take Good Care of My Baby, Kansas City and In the till of the Night were covers on the album. Even the Beatles covered Kansas City in 1964.
