Top 3 player I have ever seen live. Dirk in his prime was unreal.

It makes me shaking my head when people actually still say that Dirk is only top 5 PF of all time under KZitem videos of Kevin Garnett whatsoever ,like he was an ordinary superstar for like 10 years in the league 😂 he is carrying his team for almost 2 decades, never had a superstar alongside him, unless Nash before his prime. Only 6(!) guys in NBA history have scored more points than this guy, do you all realize that? And the argument that he never played defense is simply false, a true fan knows that Dirk was pretty athletic in his prime and actually played proper defense and rebounded . Still people put Kevin Garnett who lead his team to 7 first round exits over him.

i think in order for dirk and (nash as well) to fully reach his peak potential dirk needed a point guard who was less ball dominant than nash and a system where less pick and was ran than nellie and avery johnson with carlise the ball was always zipping around.

Chris Rodriguez that is a very great assessment! As good of friends as they were both players reached their highest points individually in their careers after their split due to their styles being drastically different. The Mavs immediately slowed their pace down once Nash was gone and used Dirk as more of a gunner/iso guy that he was.

10 жыл бұрын
That's a fare assessment but IMO I think it's Drezan Petrovic. He was the first successful European player to break the barrier. He also was a better 3 pt shooter and scorer in General IMO. We just never got to see him in his prime due to the tragic accident. Besides his scoring he was also a ferocious defender. Something dirk has never been able to call him self. And he played against way better talent back then. You check his KZitem video out against the dream team. He single handed took the defense apart with no help at all. He was schooling MJ and the greatest team ever assembled. If he had a little help that game Drezan would've actually been to beat the dream team. You should check out the video of stockton talking about Drezan in that Olympics. He said he was the only player in the NBA that played against the dream team and felt like he could win and played like it. Phenom all player and mind and had the dedication determination and will to succeed at all costs. He would school jordan regularly in NBA season also. He would've won an MVP and chip eventually if he had lived long enough. RIP DREZAN

This is what Andrea Bargani could be if he actually works at his game -_-. He's got the same center and everything, but just sucks!
@Sham_TheGod3
10 жыл бұрын
***** In foreign countries a lot of centers do tend to shoot a lot of three pointers and rebound. I don't understand Bargani's motive though. I mean literally he's one of the worst defenders I've ever seen. Idk if you saw the Nets and Knicks game today, but it looked like he made no kind of effort throughout the game on defense. You're a 7 foot big man who ONLY wants to shoot 3 pointers and that's it? With his size and skill set he has the potential to be the force that Dirk and Tyson was back in 2011. But if he doesn't make the effort at it. It's just wasted money by the Knicks. And I know for sure that Melo isn't quite happy about that.
@Sham_TheGod3
10 жыл бұрын
***** The Knicks got a lot of problems to look at. One thing for sure is that nobody wants Bargani. One for that contract he's got, and two he's a big man who just doesn't want to do anything other than shoot 3's. The Knicks having a lot of big man isn't necessarily their problem it's what big men they have. Stoudemire is always hurt and has an incredibly huge contract. He probably doesn't even care about playing. Melo is really a small forward to me. Kenyon Martin is old and is always hurt. I get you on that his age is a big problem. Prigioni is pretty old and isn't what the Knicks should have in a point guard. The Knicks need to make some serious changes to their roster come offseason. Maybe bring in a point guard like Kyle Lowry or something. Someone younger who can come off the bench and lead their team. Or just go big and try and get Rondo for their offense, because Melo isn't going to resign to a team like that. Melo needs to change his attitude and come to Chicago if he's really trying to get a championship. The Knicks also need to do something about JR Smith. He's driving me crazy. First the suspension, then the knee. Then the shoe thing. Now he's just shit on the court! He needs to get his act together.
