Dirt 1 is a game that I already played one time in the past but this was many years ago, so I didn't really remember anything about it. I just vaguely remembered that it was pretty good and it looks like I was right. This really seems to be quite an underrated game and it might actually battle with Dirt 3 for being the best of all the Dirt games.
This is the game that turned Colin McRae Rally into Dirt and introduced all the other disciplines like Rallycross, Raid and Hill Climb in addition to the traditional Rally. Unlike Dirt 2 and Dirt 3 it still has relatively long Rally stages as well though. Landrush (or "CORR" as they call it here) and Raid also have some impressive tracks that really feel very bumpy. And then we have the interesting Crossover races, which are like the Super Special Stages from WRC. And in Hill Climb we have the iconic Pikes Peak location.
Overall I am quite impressed by the game so far and I might even show my whole playthrough of it if it continues to be interesting and with this much variety.
Note: I should have used a different car in each event here to make the video even more interesting than it already is but I was still learning about the structure of the game, since I hadn't played it for around a decade. Starting from episode 2 of the playthrough I am showing as many different cars and liveries as possible to add even more variety to the playthrough than the game already offers naturally.
