Napoleon did one dirty trick back when he was emperor. Before the battle of Austerlitz, the Russian army retreated when Napoleon began to approach them just to undermine him So Napoleon tricked Tsar Alexander I into battle by sending a letter to him saying he was in a vulnerable position. The tsar believed him & met at Austerlitz, the Austrian empire During the battle of Austerlitz, Napolean retreated from the high ground and the Russians took it. Only for them to realise it was a deception tactic as that is what Napolean wanted Thanks to the fog, his army surrounded them & the Russians were forced to retreat giving Napolean the victory

I’m kinda surprised that he didn’t talk about (or even mention) Operation Wandering Soul from the Vietnam War. This was a tape recording, labeled “Ghost Tape #10” and was a recording of ghostly wines and cries that the US played on full blast on loud speakers in helicopters over the enemy. The goal was to scare the Vietnam soldiers forcing them to give away their positions. It was based on the Vietnam’s belief that after a person dies their soul will haunt people if they are not properly buried.

If they wanted information from an enemy fighter who refused to cooperate, the company would hook up the positive and negative cables of the unit's telephone to the man's testicles. My grandfather was awarded 5 bronze starts, 3 with valor, and a silver star. He was a Sgt. Major, who fought in Korea, and 4 tours in Vietnam. He was one of the first 500 Americans sent to Vietnam as an advisor. He was with a small attachment of south Vietnamese troops, and was one of only 3 americans on this patrol. They had reports of a patrol of around 50 NVA troops coming there way. They sent scouts, and soon learned that it was closer to 300 NVA troops. They were outnumbered and were low on ammo, but had plenty of explosives and det cord. They expected the NVA to come thru a narrow valley, on their way south. They lined explosives in 3 X patterns thru the valley, across about 100 yards and had claymores on both sides of the valley, all was connected with detenation cord, and had troops on the hills of both sides. They waited for the NVA to come thru the valley, and from a single detonator, caused a massive series of explosions, eliminated almost of the enemy at once. Troops picked off the few survivors, and took many prisoners. They also got a lot of valuable intel from captured NVA. He was awarded the bronze star with valor, and the paperwork that comes with that award is quite fun to read. The story of his silver star is also a good read, but is a story for another day.

Love the old meme of the yeet seat bicycle anti-theft device, basically the meme showed a person cutting open their bike seat and sticking petn explosives into it, sewing it back up and putting a barbecue grill igniter as a trigger. Using lethal methods to dissuade perpetrators, which could possibly lead to a lawsuit if they do survive or if somebody witness it. War is total. There is no such thing as a "dirty" trick, since those "tricks" may cause you to keep your life through the encounter. No matter the method in how war is waged, it is horrible nonetheless. Anyone who eschews a "dirty fight" or tactics is probably in line with there being an "honorable" fight. The British learned this quickly in the 1700's after Americans started adopting Native American camouflaging/cover techniques instead of standing tall in an open field wearing red jackets with 50+ of your closest friends shoulder-to-shoulder. The British considered taking cover "Dirty" as well. Look how well that worked for them.

@@Truerussiantigershark P=IE It is a known fact that amp kill, not volts. You can have a neon transformer set to 50000 volts with no amps and survive with no problems at all. Yet, you could get bit by a normal incandescent lamp that is producing a half amp and die instantly. Power(which is expressed in wattage) is the voltage (E) multiplied by the Amperage (I) which is the strength of an electrical circuit. If you’d like you can borrow my electrical engineering books I used in college in the mid 80s.
