The theme at the closing of the credits starting at 16:52 is so haunting. Totally agreed. Magnum force is the ultimate Dirty Harry and has an awesome soundtrack. Unlike the first part, which has a typical good guy/bad guy dichotomy, Magnum Force is much more diffused and deals with less absolute values. And that great line, where DH replies that he hates the bloody system but there still hasn't been a better replacement - i bet Winston Churchill would sign these words.

Gary Shellgren I have to totally agree with you about this. I come as someone who saw Magnum Force on a double bill with my dad back in 1973 and my dad did advertising for Warner brothers so I had an in to the advertising campaign. I still had problems with the right wing vigilante justice aspects of Dirty Harry but magnum force slightly addressed that issue. The soundtrack to magnum force is superior to dirty Harry.
