Tried to disconnect the battery, but did not succeed, didn't want to risk detaching the whole cable from the socket. I just went ahead and plug in extra memory.

Could you help me? I followed all your steps. Then I installed windows on the SSD but the HDD doesn't show up anymore (not even in the BIOS). So I removed the SSD and plugged the Optane back in, and the HDD was working once again. How can I make the BIOS recognize both at the same time? It seems that the HDD needs the Optane to be recognized by the BIOS.

@eldeahi7156
3 жыл бұрын
@@jeremiawisnujati6400 Hi, yeah it was not that hard in the end. All you have to do is disable Optane before removing it. I don't remember the name of the program. Just search for "optane" on your PC. Once you've oppened the software look for the button to disable it. Also, when you're installing windows on the SSD, make sure you unplugged the HDD. Otherwise windows won't be fully installed on the SSD (some partitions will stay on the HDD)

Thanks to you I could upgrade my lenovo legion y530 ram from 8Gb to 32Gb. I have a Question. You remove the optane memory of 16 Gb but the new ssd works the Same way as Intel optane because in the bios there is an option to disable the optane stuff. So I imagine that if you do that It Will work as a second drive. Am I right? Greetings from Perú.
