Relieved that nobody was hurt. In fairness, the fire was so well established by the time you got there, that firing a few BCF's at it would barely make a dent, especially in wind that strong. Well done to the firefighters for getting there as fast as they did. TOP job on the recovery & as for the "Will is start?", well we wouldn't expect anything less. End a crappy day on a high. That is what you get from vehicles made from wire and plastic. Proper old steel construction would not torch except few wires, casual adjustment wood block and loads of grease well as oil that has covered it over the years. Least its nice to see it didnt have anything bullshit that prevents engine turning, just needs mechanical injection pump and few bits to get it running if nothing else as generators engine. For anyone that had this happen, remove the injectors ASAP and pour some automatic trans oil inside the cylinders and valves to protect them from corrosion. This way it wont be rusted shut by the time you start looking if you should rescue it, same thing if its flooded, fill with diesel to bring everything you can. Outside can be sandblasted but the inside will corrode when exposed to air after water. Engines are not cheap so might as well, specially if its mechanical injector pump diesel, you just need power for starter to get it running.

For anyone watching the carbon dioxide extinguishers used are entirely the wrong ones to use in a vehicle fire. Those would be primarily for an electrical fire. It would be best if you were carrying the powder or ideally foam ones as once the fuel gets lit you need to blanket that thing. kzitem.info/news/bejne/yoKXnH6Qcatjimk A small powder one in the would be ideal and get it out early.
