Dr. Veenema is an Associate Professor and Pediatric Emergency Nurse Practitioner at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. She has authored three books on disaster response, serves as a senior consultant to the United States Government, and is a senior scientist on the American Red Cross National Scientific Advisory Council.
