The half- brother comment was not literal! EDC is the cop skill, it thinks of your fellow officers as your family
@UngodlyFreak

Yes. More specifically, cops might call their co-workers "brothers", which would make other officers from different precincts "half-brothers".

@@jura9484 I think the game is fine with you taking it a face value, since you immediately realise that isn't true right after. It's only so when you play again, once you understand the mechanics and how the skills interact with you, you realise what Esprit de Corps meant.

Taking the weird "I forgot everything btw" option with Leena is the only way to open one of THE most important quests in the game Taking the weird options is mostly rewarded, actually

Just a bit of advice, you should really take that "Don't be afraid to say weird things" tip the game gives you to heart. It's absolutely the best and most important tip the game gives. You'd be surprised how nonchalantly characters react to you saying utterly insane, stupid and seemingly rude dialogue options. Never make assumptions about how characters will react to your dialogue. Also, this game is hilarious but only if you let it be. Being afraid to say weird/dumb/insane/rude dialogue will make you miss out on a lot of content, important information and world building. I'd say the best way to get the most out the game is to select each dialogue option in order unless it's a choice thing where you can only choose one. Conversations are usually written so that it feels natural to pick dialogue 1 then 2 then 3 etc. etc. I know this is backseating but I don't want you to miss out on the amazing conversations you can have in this game when you're not afraid to take risks by saying things you wouldn't normally say. This is NOT the kind of role-playing game where the main character is blank slate you should insert yourself into. He is own weird, insane pre-existing character. All dialogue options are in-character for him. Not to say there aren't dumb dialogue choices that will bite you in the ass but they are far and few between and making mistakes a part of the fun.

You can (if you want) explore the other options you can before continuing on (they can even help your chances), there's no need to be scared of losing a train of thought. And yeah, this game is love at first sight ;).

I hope you try the weirder dialogue choices eventually. As an example, when Garte said you owed him 130 real, you'd get a steep discount if you to get away (the 17% red check) and failed, or if you had said "you're under arrest". There are often material advantages to being weird, delusional, irresponsible, shameless, pathetic, abusive, belligerent, etc.

You have a maximum number of Thought Slots of 3 at the start, but can spend Level Ups to buy more slots. Thoughts cost nothing to equip, only to Forget/unequip. You gain a "bonus" positive or negative during its INTERNALIZATION time, then it turns into a permanent boost that is 90%of the times entirely beneficial either for plot of stats

How time works is the one thing that I would've liked to know before playing this. So I'm just going to explain how the game handles that: You can explore as much as you like in a single day, the clock stops after some point. Most people will be asleep, but you can still explore and inspect - so you don't end up spending daytime on those.

Advice, dialogue that has (move on) or (conclude) or something of that caliber, should be chosen last, it means u are free choose other options, doesn’t mean you are free to say whatever, if a choice is really fucked up, you don’t have to choose it, but choices that make u sound like a dip shit, if picked, might just bring u to useful info, also beware the skill checks, white skill checks u r free to try without much consequence, however think red checks through

I feel like the overall game volume is too low compared to your voice. Now that you raised the voiceover volume it is indeed on par with your voice but the rest of the game is even more drowned out imho eg I can barely hear the background music unless I turn the volume up so high that you're screaming at me :P
@zephyrthejester

RIght, I'll see about turning up the volume next time I play, which would be Part 5.
