It makes me sad what the news has become, my grandad listens to the news every hour on the dot, never misses it. And every single time theres a new report of a death or violent crime or some horrible tragedy that happened here in nz and if there none here then literally any country in the world. And my grandparents think its a horrible dangerous world out there because of it. Ive had to go there at 2am because they heard a noise and believed someone was going to break in and murder them just for the sake of murding them. In nz we have had barely any serial killers. I dont listen to any news because when i did and the people i know who do get genuine anxiety problems. I figure if something super serious happens the people around me will inform me. Hopefully over time we can rework the whole media/social media organization and ways of operation to not be so discombobulateing

Please don’t take this the wrong way and in no way do I want to offend, but you remind me of someone in my childhood who was very important to me. She spoke softly and slowly so I could understand and I would always turn to her for advice and for her wisdom. This was around the early teen years (I’m now 50!) and I always think I could really do with her by my side now more than ever. She was northern too!! This person was my grandmother. I can never explain to people how I felt about her. She was very different to anyone else in my family. She told us of off if we did something wrong but I always knew she would never leave me and would always support me. She’s been gone for over 25 years and I feel you slot into her place. As I said, I really hope you don’t take this the wrong way- I mean it positively. I listen to you every morning before I go to work and it sets me up for my day. Thank you.

I'm very familiar with that word! My father used it when I was a child. He had a great vocabulary. I have had many, many situations where I had to plunge in with groups of people I didn't know. The speeches to a crowd were tough!!! I have no need to wade into crowds anymore. The hospital or Doctors appointments...I MUST stand up for myself.I just left a Doctor who did not respect me.He wouldn't let me see my blood test results...and was curt.I found a new Doctor, had an appointment yesterday and it was excellent.

Love that word, Dee. People think i make it up too. I use it more for a funny feeling of confusion when the occasion arises because it's a comical sounding word. I read or listen to the news far more than i used to, and it is awful indeed. Much of it is devoid of humanity and caring for the planet which is where that dragged down feeling can come from. Add to the mix dire predictions and conspiracy twists, it's becoming a mad world. So time for me to ease away from the news! Take care of you and I hope you feel better soon. 😊❤

I hope you feel much better soon Dee. Please don’t make a daily video unless you’re feeling well enough. Your health comes first. I have used the word discombobulated since I very first heard it. It describes perfectly that mix of baffled, confused, disorientated, overloaded, and a whole lot more. Thankfully as I’ve got older I’ve learned to stand up for myself and on behalf of those around me who can’t always stand up for themselves. I refuse to be fobbed off, ignored or patronised. I am not aggressive or disrespectful, but very firm and determined when I know something is not right or is unreasonable. Take care and get well soon.

Morning Dee. I completely agree. The "news" is like being in relationship with a narcissist. So I've gone no contact, for self preservation. I don't have a tv or radio. I didn't know the queen had died until I went to choir that evening. But what could I have done, if I'd known 6 hours earlier? I also work locally, to bring music education to kids who's families' can't afford it. And the choir raises money for the food bank at Christmas. I went to Sri Lanka, just after the Boxing Day Tsunami, and will never forget the charity workers, zooming about in brand new 4x4's and staying in top hotels, while families were still living under bits of rubbish. Nope. I am not funding that. I rarely get discombobulated nowadays. If people like me, great. If they don't, oh well. I won't lose sleep over it. There was a time when I'd bend myself out of shape, to earn approval. Not now. What you see is what you get. I wish I'd known that when I was 25. Take care, Lovely.xx

Oh Dee. A smaller comment from me this time around. I agree…the drs seem unconcerned lately. Still can’t find one empathetic, kind dentist to help with my dental needs. I just don’t have the money. And now a few of the teeeeensy teeth underneath the caps aren’t well. They need to be pulled. As for the news…never watch it. Too sad…too surreal…I either become very sad/depressed, or I get very frustrated and angry. I look for good news…hardly never any good news. I have something called Nice News sending me emails about cute animals who have been saved…rescue stories about rangers in Kenya finding a very sick elephant…and her leg hurt. Rangers (2) stayed with the female elephant all through the night (putting salve on her leg) and drs checked her out. Had a nice ending because the elephant was treated so gently, by the Ranger people…all night and day (for poachers) who just want to kill our beautiful wildlife. Makes me angry and sad. I saw your comment about YT and how you tried to find out what happened. I’ll go through the shots I took. Could be YT problem or cable issue (my tv buffers and reading emails, I can see some and sometimes I can’t see the entire email). The big xfinity truck was here last week driving around. Almost every time I see an xfinity truck in the area, I get spooked. They fix a problem..then usually another problem begins. I detest calling them. It’s like talking to robot after robot…none of their robots or any humans (manning the phones) there seem to know nothing. Thnx for trying Dee. I was a on a roll. I’ll try to piece it together. It was just about my blood pressure issues…and how insane things are getting. I love my adult grandson (love all my grandkids and great grandkids) but I’m older, achier, can’t pic them up, even the great grand babies. I’d not be able to hold them. I’m afraid…a good amount of crowns fell off (maybe 7/8. 2 bridges. I’m wearing a mask for the plumber who’s coming super early. I’m not a morning person. Strange. My mother said I woke up vacation days, during summer, way too early. Doesn’t sound like me at all. But I had no pain and I always liked staying under covers a ‘little bit longer’. And every so often, I’d get discombobulated. Hoping you’re feeling better, Dee. Is Myshka bringing you any tea…or biscuits? Rest up. I didn’t sleep much at all last night….so I’m gonna try to sleep for a few hours and then be wide awake by 7:00. Sending healing energy, peace and much light to you. Sorry you had to spend so much time trying to speak to YT. Night Dee. Take care of yourself. 🩷🩷🩷

Thanks Dee for the video. I am familiar with the word but hadn’t thought it relevant to the situation of hospital or medical settings. I find medical interactions so bad these days that I feel as though I’m suffering from some sort of medical PTSD. That dismissive attitude many medicos can have when we ask for what we need seems to get worse with age and I believe was always worse as a woman. So I can certainly relate to that setting making you feel discombobulated! I advise always having another trusted person with you if you can or, at the very least, a trusty notebook so as to take contemporaneous notes on all you are experiencing, from the name of the doctor to any treatments recommended. It is an unfortunate fact of life that we have to stand up for ourselves in the medical arena and be prepared to deal with discombobulation! Great upload. Hope you slept well. Take care.
