Organizing a bicycle tour is no easy feat. Especially when we’re planning on something epic, like crossing the entire USA. After we planned our route, bought all our necessary equipment, and organized a ride to our starting point, a cat bite on Julianna’s hand nearly derailed our entire trip. In the end, we made it to the west coast, with help from my daughter Bailey who volunteered to drive my car back to Denver. Although Julianna’s healing from the bite kept us from properly training, we were able to get a few rides on the way, and had a great time on the drive, seeing such places as the Snake River at Massacre Rocks State Park, the Deschutes River, The Columbia Gorge Scenic Trail, The Hood Canal, and Port Townsend.
