🚙 DESTINATION: Hay NSW
📍WHERE: Hay is in the Riverina atea of NSW, about 700km west of Sydney and about 400km from Melbourne. It lies within the Hay Shire Council LGA.
❓WHY: The landscape is quite extraordinary for one thing - and what's not to like about a town with 5 museums!
📅 We visited at the end of November. Summers can be very hot indeed.
🏛MUSEUMS: Shear Outback - Shearers Hall of Fame is excellent! Bishop's Lodge Historic House and Heritage Rose Garden was interesting. (We also managed to squeeze in visits to the Dunera Museum At Hay Railway Station and the Hay Gaol Museum but couldn't cover them all in this short video).
☝HIGHLIGHTS: The Bidgee Riverside trail down by the river is perfect for a morning walk with it's collection of sculptures, and don't forget to take a look at the town's water tower art.
🍴🍺MEALS: We called in to The Riverina Hotel Hay , Two Billy Buttons cafe and Kinfolk & Co during out two day visit.
🛌WHERE WE STAYED: There are plenty of options, but we stayed at Saltbush Motel in the main street.
