As a former thrower and first year coach, this information is fantastic. I really wish my school would spring for your program, but we're really really small (less than 30 kinds in the high school) and it's not in the budget.

Hey coach, I don’t know if you remember me, but I previously said my goal was 160 at the start of my sophomore season. Using the tips you’ve given, I have beaten my school record that held for 47 years. I threw 158’2. Still hoping to break that 160 barrier! Thanks for all your great vids man!

I can really respect the passion and dedication to clear and concise communication. Thank you for these videos. I am a retired decathlete that is returning to the circle as a 36-yr-old master. I haven't thrown discus in over 14-years and even when I did, I didn't have an effective full spin. I have thrown 46m out of a half-turn and have a masters goal of throwing over 40m and placing top 3 in the Canadian National Championships (whenever that runs again #covid). I am also a small thrower at 6foot, 200lbs, so all the technical advantage I can get is ideal! Keep up the great coaching.

This is something that helps me but not everyone, this is a mental tip and probably is the opposite of what some people will recommend, but I don’t think at all about my technique during competitions it gets me too much in my head, I just think of my release and go do my thing

Lil Ched thinking about less is certainly what you want to do in competition without a doubt.

I am a Masters thrower and this is the best video I have seen to help correct technical flaw to improve technique and distance. Explaining not just the how but the why is very beneficial also. Thanks Coach!

Thank you so much last season my first meet I threw 94.6Ft and then my throws started to suffered until I did mostly power with the spin, from watching this video and watch my first meet video I found out I’m over rotating my left and my right leg, idk why I was rotating my right leg at all lol but thank you so much this is going to help me a bunch

Great vid. I especially like the technical nature of the instruction. This is actually some very advanced instruction. I notice by watching college and H.S. kids throw that very few coaches work on the upper left side. I've had lots of kids "pull their head" and have an early release or their balance off by improper body alignment. All info good to know. Thanks.....

Things like this are what help me very much. It’s my first season doing discus and I’m already PRd at 134.9ft. Don’t have much coaching so I’m learning all on my own but thanks to these videos I’m seeing more and more improvement
