Opening on June 29, 1974 after more than 2-years in the making “America Sings”, hosted by Sam The Eagle, voiced by Burl Ives, and his sidekick Ollie the Owl, voiced by Sam Edwards, is a musical tune filled adventure, tracing nearly 200 years of our nations musical heritage. The 24-minute show contains 114 anthropomorphic, Audio-Animatronics, designed by Al Bertino and Marc Davis, singing 40 songs like Yankee doodle and Polly Wally doodle.
