Yeah, put me down for Sea Salt as well. I'm glad they're continuing with these scents. Disney has a reputation for its smells. Many DVC members talk about the signature resort smells, especially Riviera (unless that's just my association bias since I read a lot of blog posts about Riv.) The candles are very popular. I wonder when this started. I can't imagine this having been a thing in 1971. What is this Poly comment about? Why couldn't they have been precise? Isn't is due to open late next year? They're going to be selling it fairly soon. Make up your mind, Poly! I think the term "association" would have been preferred in the context of a board meeting, rather than "resort," which is a more conversational term. So the fact that they said "resort" technically gives them wiggle room to announce separate associations down the road and claim they were speaking to them having the same name and theming, and belonging to the same tradition or something, but that would be a really condscending thing to say to DVC owners. I hope it's the same so we can stay there (I suspect I'll prefer the longhouses, but FOMO is strong in the DVC-verse, so I'll want the opportunity to try it out.) And I think it would be a good idea for Disney so they can deal with the points problem with the bungalows and the lack of room size options. The expiration date is irrelevant. It wasn't an issue with the GF resort studios and it's a long way off anyway. Same association would even give Disney the chance to sell the tower contracts again sooner. Last thought on this--could "...our plans right now..." indicate Disney is looking for or believes they have already found a legal way to switch the situation later on? I'm not a lawer or a realtor, but I think once they claim it's one, it must remain that way, but Disney is slippery. So I'm back from my trip and I can report that split stays are definitely not going to resume. I really enjoyed spending three consecutive nights at Jambo House. I had a very decent partial savanna view with constant giraffes and zebras. The resort amenities were highly enjoyable (no one mentions how incredible the Zahanati Massage and Fitness Center is) and the holiday decorations were beautiful--a soaring tree and a gingerbread giraffe and zebra. (I'm getting to the point that I'm really happy staying almost exclusively at AKV and Riv.) Breakfast at Ale and Compass was good, not great. But I'd still put it on the rotation for the atmosphere and fair price. Dinner at Enzo's Hideaway was nothing special. I didn't enjoy the massive DS crowds on Saturday night either. SH 71 (the restaurant this time, not the bar) was superb. This place is going to continue to be a mainstay for me. My Epcot day was much better than last year's. Much more decent crowd level. I did not use Genie+, but I did Cali Soarin' three times; Nemo, Test Track, Gran Fiesta Tour with the Three Caballeros, the Voices of Liberty, Beauty and the Beast Singalong, Remy's Ratouille Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind--all from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. I still had plenty of time to relax at Zahanati and have lunch before my Mears pickup. On time flight too! Not back at WDW till late April! Have a great rest of your Sunday, Jacqueline!

Oh people love Disney scents all over... Poly, Beach Club, Riv, certain rides... those candle companies are making a killing selling the scent of your vacation, haha. I'm not sure when resorts kind of got their own signature scent, but I think pumping out smells in the parks has been going on for a long time! Yeah the Poly comment is annoying but like they chose to answer at all in the affirmative rather than dismiss the question, so I'm chalking it up to just poor choice of words verbally in the moment (which happens to all of us!). And I think with FW Cabins debuting summer, we might (total speculation, might) see them try to get a couple of months of strong sales on that before debuting Poly for sale. Who knows though. yes they did leave themselves wiggle room for sure, you're definitely empirically right, but I'm not losing sleep over it lol. And yeah I'm definitely not a legal expert here, so uh I would assume whatever paperwork they draw up with the powers that be (county? state?) will be the final word, and they wouldn't be held to this in person statement. But if that is their plans right now, they should be filing that way is my assumption. Aw yay! I think split stays can be very enjoyable if you're there for long enough, but also plopping down and having the same home base the whole time is also very nice. Three nights for sure I'd try to stay put. I think once I get into the ~5 night range I start to be like.... well we could split this up lol. Probably no one mentions the fitness center cause we're all tired enough already, haha. Disney for me is a trip, not a vacation. I'm not working out on top of that lolol. But yes I think AKV theming is top notch; we were there at the holidays ages ago and it was everything. Enzo's I've heard really mixed things about. I personally just think it seems priced too high for what it appears to be. Good to have your thoughts on it. And yeah weekend DS springs are roouuggghhh. Glad EPCOT was more enjoyable - you definitely got a lot done!!!

Excited that the H2O scents will be sticking around! I love the SeaSalt too! I am even more excited about the Polynesian resort news! I agree with you that I think they wouldn't have said anything if they weren't ready to share. Depending on the incentives when it goes on sale, we might buy direct. Or might just buy more resale points... hmm. Decisions, decisions!

LOL I have so much stashed up. Because we often change hotels woof it's easy to get quite the pile going. But yes, definitively good news for everyone with a smaller pile than me hahah

Nice! Yes. I think a lot of folks are in your same boat. Having the flexibility of different room sizes is a massive upgrade!
