Ngl, lot of hot takes in this one. Why use certain nicknames like snapu, but not cork? For consistency and acurracy shouldn't you call it a swipe twist or swipe double twist? Also that trick in the 2nd to last combo looked definitively like "full snapu in back out" to me. There was no tuck for it to be skullsnapper?

agreed, skull snap in with fat tuck would be insane

Gainer twist and cork are two very different tricks to me. I guess they'd call it a gainer late twist.

Regarding BTT: Terminology that attempts to encompass and differentiate every single possible trick is inherently futile because there is no limit to how deep you can go in the differences between each trick. Inversion is the obvious example; technically a b-twist on a fully horizontal axis (0 degrees relative to floor) is different from a b-twist with a 5 degree angle relative to floor. Obviously that's ridiculous but a truly all-encompassing terminology system would account for it. We'd have to say 0 degree b-twist and 5 degree b-twist. What about spotting? What about the exact straightness of your knees? It is inherently impossible to capture every bit of information about the trick into one term. I'm not arguing mainstream is better; it's not. However I will argue that BTT can never be perfect either. It will just keep going down a rabbit hole while becoming harder to translate back to mainstream terminology. Personally, I believe it's already gone too far by calling corks gainer twist and fulls backside twists, but that's just me.

Great point! We do acknowledge this exact limitation, no communicable language will encapsulate every trick. We discuss the exact point you bring up in our episode with Mark. We are however trying to fine tune where that sweet spot it between dividing things too small to the point where it isn't useful, and generalizing every trick too broadly and limiting our creativity. BTT is far from a final iteration of our tricking language, but we are hoping some fun and interesting tricks arise from the use of this language.

@@talkintricks8205I actually returned here to delete this comment because I watched your video on Johannes' sampler where you all explained the use of BTT purely for highly specific study rather than a replacement for mainstream. Under those terms I can accept it a lot more because there is a lot of room for in depth tricking study that BTT can help with. Also like you said in that video as time goes on you can start mixing in some mainstream terminology when the tricks are simple enough that everyone will understand. Anyway, keep doing what you're doing!

full in swipe out or cork in swipe out is called frappe as named by shosei, the gainer late swipe was incorrectly called frappe by levi and then many people started naming it incorrectly. shosei referred to it as a double gainer when he invented it but id say gainer late swipe is what it really is
