David has a strong heart. After he went through this terrible situation he still managed to get to his feet and walk. I myself have dealt with suicide and its not a fun road to wander down. Knowing what could happen in your lifetime significant or not in can still leave scars on your heart. He defiantly make it through the day without his demand lashing back at him. Moving on is the best thing to do. We all have dreams. But dreams have a habit of going bad when your not looking.

I know how David feels, because, well, my dad told me about a while ago, an old friend of ours, who we considered family, committed suicide, because, my dad found out he was depressed, wasn't doing well in his life, yeah. However, I found out later on, someone killed him. So, I'm not sure if he committed suicide or if someone killed him. But, I'm still convinced and sure he killed himself. Anyway, I still know how David feels.

I can understand the dad lashing out - he was in pain & needed someone to blame. But words like that stay, obviously, unfortunately. It’s such a huge responsibility, being a parent - to have a child destroying herself & the parents be clueless or helpless.

Great band, Sad story. FYI David Draiman is probally one of the smartest guys you will ever talk to. He has like 3 majors from loyola in Chicago and even almost went to law school. Disturbed has matured soo much as a band since seeing them as "Brawl" in Chicago like 13 years ago xD Can't wait to go to the Music as a Weapon tour this year at the United Center in chicago again. Also, can't wait for another album ;)

15 yrs old kids feel things so intensely, add hard drugs and mental illness is a recepie for disaster. I get the father lashing out but man that is so wrong to lay that guilt trip on a teen. Survivors guilt and the trauma from it is not David’s to own, and this song does not put the girl down, and shows how a suicide transfers to people they leave behind. To anyone who is suicidal - reach out, Tell someone who can help and keep telling ppl, no matter how hard it is, it is treatable, ppl care and this phase will pass, even if you feel unlovable you are loveable, hold on and give yourself a chance.

And, now I wonder if the tats of three women on his sleeve are not in fact trophies (he had spoken about these women and how they were all in his company when they died). HMMMM Big time "wheel" who had spent many years providing to many "bands". Oh well, live and learn. WIsdom comes with all experiences regardless of the pain, difficulties, and "nightmares". Coincidentally, the SAME thing happened to Fuzz! You know, the bass player they kicked out who isn't credited for 2 songs he helped write on this album... His girlfriend was obsessed with him after he broke up with her - even while she was seeing Danny. Then people blamed him for her death when she killed herself. Freaky, eh? Oh & to those who half blame the parents - I agree they were wrong to blame him. NOBODY is to blame when someone takes their OWN life.

Not only do I still know how David feels. But for me, I actually almost committed suicide myself. I was 15 years old, and I was about to start my freshman year of high school, and I was feeling happy excited nervous and scared. All of the of of emotions to start high school for when I was 15. And then I eventually decided to put those emotions aside, and let high school start of smoothly for me from when I was 15, and see where things would’ve gone for me from there. But then tragedy struck and my family from when I was 15. You see, my grandmother, who was 85 years old, and who I loved a whole lot, she unfortunately passed away in August of 2015, and she died directly a week before I was going to start high school from when I was 15. And I wasn’t right after she died in August, but within at least 2 to 3 months after her death back in 2015, it was in between September and December of 2015, maybe around October or November of the year, I eventually started to go down a dark path of suicidal thoughts, mostly because I was really sad and depressed that my grandmother was dead, I didn’t know how else to deal with her death at the time, and I honestly don’t know how far or how close I was from doing it, but I do you know and remember that I was ready to kill myself from when I was 15. And then I eventually thought deeper about it, and I was asking myself, if I would’ve killed myself, what would everybody who I know and love say or think about me? How would everybody around me react to my death? And I was also thinking about my grandmother, if she was still alive and if she knew I would’ve killed myself, what she have said or thought about? How would she have reacted to my suicide, if she was still alive? Let me tell you that, it was really hard to get through, but I eventually pulled myself through it and out of the darkness, and I honestly don’t know if it took me right away or a while to figure it out, but I eventually figure it out and realized, that suicide wasn’t and it still isn’t the answer for anything in life. And whoever reads this, I also want to tell you all that, my actual and real name is Victor, and I was born in Sacramento California USA, and my birthday is on July 11th 2000, and with my family coming from Mexico, even though I do like and respect all of the modern and fun music from Latinos, either if they are Mexican or not, my number one favorite genre of music from Mexico is none other than mariachi, and even though I am almost 22, since I am 21 for right now, about mariachi, it’s still one of my favorite genres of music. And well, before I discovered the band of Disturbed, I was actually a much bigger fan of the band of Linkin Park, and I still am, but I also do like Disturbed, and I think that there is nothing wrong with that. Anyway, I like and respect all kinds of music from all over the world, but my number one favorite genre of music from the USA, is none other than, rock and roll and heavy metal, and well, about Linkin Park, about LP, I think we have all heard, as it’s been almost 5 years, Chester Bennington of LP committed suicide and hung himself back in 2017, and for me, even though I had nothing to do with his death, Chester Bennington’s death is personal for me, for 2 different reasons. One reason, is because of me almost doing it, since I was really sad and depressed that my grandmother died from when I was 15, and the other reason, is because Chester Bennington of LP passed away on July 20th of 2017, which was a little over a week after my 17th birthday passed back in 2017. Anyway, if you or someone you know, family member or a friend is in a crisis, or are even having thoughts of suicide, please don’t hesitate and don’t feel shame to call the national suicide prevention lifeline at 1-800-273-8255, before it’s too late for you or for your family member or your friend who wants to end it all. Remember that if you or your family member or friend is having suicidal thoughts, I think that we have all been there, and keep it in mind, that it is not too late to save someone’s life from almost ending at his or her own hand. Again, don’t hesitate to call and reach out to the national suicide prevention lifeline, at the number of 1-800-273-8255. Please call before it’s too late, and it can become to be too late, either for you or for your loved one or for your friend.

It's too bad, she was a beautiful girl, too, if you'll notice, the music video (the unedited version) has real life pictures of her before her suicide, I don't want to go back and watch the video again to see them, though, the vid is too creepy for my taste. But everyone knows it wasn't his fault what happened. Must've been hard living with a religious family who wouldn't let him be with the girl he loved, she probably wouldn't have killed herself if only he could be with her.
