My sister died of a drug overdose in Detroit in a drug house, and she was only 18. In a way, I am glad that she didn't have to suffer through all of the hardships of drug addiction and struggles with her mental health, but I am also still a bit upset that the people in that house with her that night left her die there instead of driving her to the hospital to give her a chance. Narcan wasn't available in 2008 like it is today. I watched that channel once, and I don't want to watch it again. I have had too many friends and acquaintances from Metro Detroit pass away and it has left me with a permanent hole in my heart and the fear that if I make anymore friends, they'll just end up dying on me..
@deonnelangley5644

I’m so sorry you lost your sister. I’m sorry you have lost many friends. I’ve lost more than I can count rn the same way, the only diff is I am one of them. But I’ll keep trying to get back to get better and to not be one of the ones I remember as beautiful deserving wonderful humans that just slipped up and did a tad too much. I don’t want my family to mourn me over something I had the power to stop. I’m one of the strongest ppl I know but not strong enough to go through the hell of withdrawal. You are not wrong to have a part of you that is glad she didn’t have to go through the hellish cycle of addiction. It doesn’t make it ok. Doesn’t make it hurt less…. But it’s still very valid. I’ve had many friends die in the presence of other users afraid of getting in trouble and going to jail and I PROMISE that underlying that is the biggest reason of all…. Cus going to jail means having to go through withdrawal in jail. Ppl die in withdrawal, it’s not common but it happens and it happens most often in jails. I can’t fathom a worse way to go. Truly. Anyway, I wanted to just try to give you some semblance off comfort but I’m not sure if it’s even possible from an sddict’s response a thousand-plus miles away. But I was very moved by your response. And I damn well wanted to try….. so sending love from CO. ❤️

The Area 51 caller is a complete hoax. The thing people neglect to remember is the audio quality. They're vastly different. This is due to the quality of the uploaded of the original call, the equipment used during each call, and so forth. A lot of the differences in the voice are easily attributed to those variances. And as all actors know, preparation is key. He came into the original call in character versus revisiting the role after the fact midway through the 2nd call. No prep, no real sell, just doing it to appease, so he won't naturally sound AS convincing. What matters is cadence, which is a big factor in voice comparison because that's the hardest part to nail. He matches the cadence and flow of the delivery. He's the guy.

A viewer from Russia. The situation with bones, I work in medicine and am familiar with the production of cadavers (special corpses intended for teaching students). In short, it is practically impossible for a university to receive a corpse (at my university, corpses are 30 years old) from a legal point of view, a person must leave his body to medicine himself, if a relative appears and the pathologist gave it to the university, you will be brought to trial. Corpses without relatives lying in the morgue are buried by the state over time, body parts removed during surgery are destroyed, and for deviating from the procedures you can end up behind bars or at least lose your license to provide medical activities. Therefore, the black market for bones sounds extremely dubious, especially with sending bones by mail.

the area 51 guy sounds the same. He had prepared himself before, this time he was probably nervous because he was revealing the joke. why wait so long-- because he just tricked the broadcast and tons of people. Most people don't instantly say "hey guys it was me haha" they let the spookiness continue-- and to be fair, I'd be freaked out too if my joke call potentially tripped someone like that. I think it was great timing, personally, ive had similar things happen. Did the actual sat go down or did the radio lose connection? happens more than you think. Did the call actually go down? tbh, in a program that often talks about unusual things, any call getting disconnected would have been sus, let's be honest here. It's fun to specualte, but this is one of those storuies that's always felt so normal to me lol.

Tons of research labs and hangers there, where we could not go in. IKEA like buildings full of SCIFFs, where our secret clearence meant absolutely nothing, and people only knew stuff on a need to know basis. We went on a tour in this one building, in the hallways in the event of an active shooter, and it was legit like ikea. Alarms that will sound if there's cell phone signals. For the area 51 call, I have some details on it not mentioned here: Art Bell was broadcasting from Parumph, NV (where he lived). His broadcast was sent to the station via satellite. That satellite lost land lock (in other words it drifted out of position). The station cut to a rerun while they tried to find a work around. Art came back online over an hour later using a backup system (bypassing the satellite). It took them a few more days to restore the satellite. Someone from the station came online with Art to explain the situation with the satellite. They said in all their years in broadcast they had never even heard of this happening before.

re: jon's bones, i appreciate your bringing more eyes to this. i'm still shocked more people don't talk about what he's doing. unfortunately it is legal to sell human bones the way he does in most US states and he argues that the museum and whatnot benefit the field of osteology, which seems like a great loophole for an exploitative business. i love taxidermy and collecting bones and oddities myself - we don't claim this guy. his specimens include antique medical specimens, but i just checked his website and he also still buys bones from just about anyone from a majority of US states because it's legal. it doesn't require documentation of who the bones belonged to before they died for the transaction to be legal, but i'd argue it's unethical that way. i agree we need cadavers for research, but that's after people have consented to their use for research, and they get put to rest afterward. the cultural and just overall moral implications of displaying and selling a large number of unidentified human specimens are just nasty

Also sounded like that man was legit the collar. But once again, video editing and deep, fake technology is now at the point where civilians can do wild stuff with little to know expertise with all of the plug set ups where you can literally just upload a boatload of files for the algorithm to learn. Extremely interesting. I can only imagine what resources the government has been utilizing and sadly they have to be kept top-secret due to the fact that I don’t think they over are trying to fuck us over when it comes to certain information. I feel like they wait for the information to reach a critical mass so there’s literally nothing that can stop it from coming out, but their job is to do everything to make sure it doesn’t come out so when it inevitably does come out because we figure it out Because the way that we set everything up. It’s kinda like a loop. If you can follow this verbal vomit it’s genuinely constructed in a way that is coherent and you can definitely follow what I’m saying, but it might take a little bit of extra dissection. Clean the floor with a little science project. AAAAAND POST!

I noticed on a lot of news or videos and stuff they love to call the city Detroit Michigan but it's not. I've lived in Detroit since I was three years old and I'm 46 now , and trust me I know Detroit east and west side south wet all of it. And like 80 % of the time the people are not actually in Detroit Michigan, And I'm not saying this guy is lying, more than likely he thinks it's Detroit because they said it was in the original videos he watched and got the clips from. I've always wondered why they do this? Is it to make a better story? Or because people's perception of Detroit is so negative that it makes the video more interesting?

Huh? So Detroit isn't in Michigan? You might want to tell map makers then, because Detroit is in Michigan on every map.
