Just found your channel. I’ve been shooting handheld HDR for listings for years. Every once in a while I get a misaligned blend, but it’s pretty rare. I shoot more wide-open so I don’t have to push the ISO so far. I typically shoot ISO 800 or 1600 at F4.5.. i’m sure that’s another huge no-no for lots of other RE photographers, but I really don’t think you need massive depth the field. It sounds like you outsource your processing but I would certainly be curious to see how you do your HDR post workflow. Your colors are much cleaner than I get with HDR.

I good tamron 24-70 f/2.8 VC lens on Canon M6 mark II can do hand held HDR. I still would use a tripod.

Yeah tripods are necessary especially starting out. Handheld HDR is just a cool skill to know how to do!

If you show up with a good camera and not an action cam or iPhone I think you will be good. Many of the pro services tell you that. Now we just have to get you over to the Sony line. LOL! Kidding!

@@tyler_fraserI left Nikon from a lifetime of Nikon shooting when they released the Z6 (disappointment). I went to the Sony A7Siii for video and recently an A7R5 for photos. Great camera. But what you are using now will work great as you know. I am a gear junky. Sony is doing amazing things. Especially with the new Alpha 9. Too much for what we are doing but amazing.

I use a monopod! Takes up less space and faster than a tripod!

1. Cropping your crooked verticals in post also crops in and narrows your photo's wide angle view. 2. At 6,400 iso your noise level is going to be atrocious and applying "luminance" is going to destroy the crisp look of your photos. I hope no one truly listen to this guy, having done over 15,000 homes and having experimented with hand held shots myself. This is piss poor advice.

well firstly, thanks for watching! And yes, IF your verticals are off so bad they had to be cropped in, THEN you'd crop in and lose your wide view. BUT I've practiced it enough and I always get my verticals damn close in camera. And as for noise levels, I mentioned in the video that I use mirrorless and my camera handles high ISO very well. Not everyone can do this depending on camera, and sensor size. That being said, I just wanted to share my process with everyone. My images look great, and I trust in the process. Anyways, have a good one!

I love your videos and have subscribed. If you can get away with hand-held and high ISO. All power to you. I can’t bring myself to going higher than 400 ISO. I’ll stick with the tripod. Thanks for sharing your processes.
