Good video and it’s hard to beat the value of a ATS transducer at $300 and the resolution and speed is fast. Also Penn makes one comparable to the ATS for $100 that has a 5ms reaction rate and res is incredible. ditex it’s a great piece 100ms Litte pricy imo but … cheaper than wps tho you get a bunch of fittings you might or might not use but such is life. I digress. You guys did a great job showing its capabilities. Ps I own 3 Pico, 6 ATS, 3 penn , and a few others and I never see that noise that was shown, could that be more related to the dual electric car?

Hey Jay. Is the Penn transducer able to be used on a fuel rail to check fuel pressure or is it only for Air pressures? Also where can I buy them from? Thanks for your time. Dan.
@weldingjunkie
2 жыл бұрын
@@DanWallis86 you can use them to check anything. It’s a 500 psi transducer so you want to pick one close to what you’re measuring. That’s why ditex put 200 psi on it too. Penn makes a 100 psi one that’s good as well which is better for fuel etc

@@weldingjunkie thanks very much mate. The reaction rate is fast enough to get details from incylinder waveforms?

@@DanWallis86 the 500 psi oh heck yeah I have a post in group comparing it to wps and ATS and it’s 100% even.

If my memory serves me right it doesn't require a 5 volt reference you're able hook it straight to the battery just one less thing you have to keep up with

@@AutoDITEX thanks for replying,,I'm new to this type of testing,,I was discussing this with a reliable instructor that stated there's need to by a constant voltage and battery voltage was not constant,I have my doubts about his statement,can you explain why that is though to be true

@@scotttucker4075 There is a built-in voltage regulator inside the PDS500G transducer main unit. Which regulator allows operation in a wide dynamic range of supply voltage.
