I like how you said that sometimes we just wake up in a bad mood and that is okay. I feel that often people don’t let children have bad days and they expect them to be always be well behaved with great attitudes all the time which is not realistic. As a teacher I was taught in college that sometimes when things aren’t working and you keep doing the same thing over and over as an adult and children keep giving you the same response, that’s when maybe it’s time to change and adapt. I can imagine with so many kids that being "strict" is a must to keep some sort of order. I don't think anything you do seems excessive at all. Not only do you keep your house ruining smoothly but also your sanity. Teaching kids responsibility is a MUST!! As for the picture chart they actually say that children up to age 10 benefit from having an illustration to go along with wording. I just recently learned that myself & after listening to the reasoning agree that it makes sense. I've always given you & Solo props for keeping things running without a bunch of chaos in your home. I can imagine some days are more challenging but y'all are raising amazing, intelligent, responsible young people. ❤️❤️

If people think your being to strict tough.......as you rightly said your raising YOUR kids not theirs! (That did give me a chuckle btw) Being ex Army I'm considered harsh by those who know me but I see it as instilling self worth and discipline in my daughter and if it's harsh by some standards then it's worked as I can take my child anywhere knowing she will behave herself and she has manners.........she knows to say please and thank you and when we go to visit friends if she wants anything she'll say please may I have or may I use your bathroom. At home if she chooses not to listen or do what's been asked of her the internet is turned off for as long as it takes for her to realise whose in the wrong.......doesn't take long tbh, LOL I'd rather have her be a house devil and a street angel as at least at home I can deal with the bad behaviour! 😏😂 Your kids are YOUR kids and how you choose to bring them up is your business.........if other people don't like it tough! Great vlog thank you!

I don't know if I missed it, but how do your kids learn to play the piano that well? Are they self taught? Do they follow private lessons? When did they start? Thank you!!

I agree with you 100% children, need rules and structure to be respectful and productive adults...this world has too many out of control youth and adults and we as parents need to take responsibility for our families...I love all your tips an advice bcuz even though I have 2 kids some days it feels like more especially when you have to remind them what needs to be done 😊

I get what you say, sometimes I have to repeat myself so many times I dislike hearing my self doing it repeatedly & it falls over deaf ears...this is considering my kids are 20 & 16 ...❤️

That’s a great chore/discipline chart...I have a toddler and infant so I will definitely be making something similar for when they get older.

You are doing a great job! 😊 Keep up the great work! I think sometimes we, as parents, remind our children too much, we hate confrontation. It's easier to just talk, but it doesn't help them, or give us parents rest.

Hi! Love your family and videos. I like to sort of wait until there are a few and binge watch. LOL Which type of Zabuni coffee does solo like? There are such a variety on the website. I'd like to try it out.
