After I had learned classical physics for three years, I could easily solve decimal divisions by using the principals of standard forms.

We can perform decimal division like a normal division and finally adjusting the decimal places. Eg. 1.85÷0.5 5)185(37 15 ---------- 35 35 ---------- 0 Here dividend has two decimal places. We need to adjust decimal place for quotient. The divisor has already one decimal place, so put one decimal place for q. Ans 3.7. Or 1.85/0.5 =185/100 ÷ 5/10 = 185/100 ×10/5=185/5×10=3.7.

Sir how do you get the 10 you multiply by

You could multiply by 100 and lose both decimals. 185/50. Reduce to 37/10.

what??? why didn't u just move and float the decimal on the original written problem and solve the problem...and then check by multiplying the decimal quotient with the decimal multiplier to find the dividend......without rewriting a "related" problem to work the problem out??? No wonder students are becoming dumb in problem solving with this convoluted method of dividing with decimals by rewriting a "related" problem without the decimal points and trying out/multiplying possible combinations to find quotients. 🤢
