Where's Battleship USS IOWA's intrepid team off to this time? We're taking you into a space rarely seen by ANYONE.
Welcome to one of the huge tanks on the outboard side of the vessel. This forty-foot-deep monster is one of sixteen fuel and ballast tanks along the midships waterline that helped hold IOWA's two-million-gallon load. Yep, you read that right: there are fifteen other tanks that look pretty much like this one. Has your jaw dropped yet? Just wait till you see inside it.
Buckle up for an epic adventure, full of dark holes, sketchy rope ladders, and plenty of rust. Let's go tank diving.
