This was the second dive of the day in Pembrokeshire. We dived The Dakotian wreck. This is a popular wreck in Milford Haven. Poor visibility on slack tide. The wreck itself was brilliant in my opinion and with a load of sea life around it. This will be another wreck I would like to see again. Plenty to explore inside and outside.
The wreck is marked with a Buoy which lies NW of it. Sank in 1940 , a Merchant ship of 6,426 tons, 400 feet long and 52 feet wide. Depth of the wreck from 7m to 19m. Visibility can be poor, and tides fast. Sank by a mine while dropping anchor on the night of 21/11/40 and went down in 3 mins
A big thanks to the Skipper from Pembrokeshire Boat Charters
