For 10 days of my summer, I went diving in Okinawa, Japan, a couple of those days were spent exploring the Kerama Shoto National Park which encompasses the entire Kerama Islands.
Made a National Park in 2014, local governments have developed guidelines to protect reefs. With this protection, the Islands are known for incredible diving with clear blue water, steep wall reefs, and high diversity of marine life. All a remarkable sight. According to the guide book at My place Hostel in Naha, there are over 60 dive sites surrounding the seven main Islands.
In my stay there I only did 4 on the same one Island (Zamami) I look forward to my return to do all of the Islands.
Special Thanks to:
Marine House Sea Sir in Naha, amazing dive crew and stewards of the ocean
My family for supporting my wild adventure
My dive buddy for not ditching me
