Possibly once in a lifetime Thresher shark encounters, due to the lockdown. Amazing to see nature recover to some degree

I used to divemaster and have been to malapascua a dozen times in the early/mid 2000's. At Gato island, when you exit the cave, turn left and go down to about 50 ft and look under the big coral heads. There is one with a dozen or so resting white tip reef sharks. Kinda like a shark apartment. Also night dives in gato are amazing.

Malapascua is one of the few places on earth where you can encounter a thresher shark.....i once I was in malapascua with my family for holiday, i met a group of Singaporean College students, and they were in Malapascua just to see and have an encounter with the tresher sharks as part of their studies in Course in College.....I like your videos, its like a documentary in National Geographic.....I never did scuba diving but I want to have a try...I only did snorkeling in moalboal, and I love it....

You would think that thresher sharks are easily spotted anywhere in the world because there are so many of them in this video. If I'm not mistaken, Malapascua is the only place on the planet where the thresher sharks are known to regularly visit. They cannot be seen anywhere else because they shy away from humans except for this little mound in Malapascua where they frequently visit in the morning.

Malapascua is one of my most memorable dive destination. Majestic sunset, lobsters as big as your arm, one of the thresher sharks swam by me as close as less than 3 feet away, and a tiger shark passing by. The reason why I decided to buy a gopro because the only camera we had glitched during the dive.
