Advice from a formerly married man to an abusive narcissist cut it off now before you lose everything including your sanity
@A_Wee_spook
Жыл бұрын
@Matthew Wilson Thanks. I just feel lost. We've been together for 4 years, but we have no kids or anything. Just a cat. But I'm disabled and she also has nowhere else to live but with me and my family. I have a rare immune disease that has caused me to go blind, have seizures and heart problems, and a lot other problems. (I use a screen reading software to use my phone and go online since I know someone is gonna ask. Sorry for any typo in advance.) She came from a terrible home life. And has mental issues because of it. We were very young when we started dating. 18 and 19. My father and I were moving to a different state. So I begged her to come with us to get away from that family. She did, and we've been together ever since. Cue the problems. She has serious anger issues and is controlling. Like when i say angry over anything, I mean it. If I drop something, if I take to long to find something, if I come into our bedroom and she doesn't want to be disturbed, most questions I ask, if I need help with something not life threatening, the cat meowing to much, the cat playing with is toys to loudly, not coming to bed when she wants me too, speaking about religion around her at all, describing food, and if I cough to name a few. she will literally throw my inhaler at me, then be mad at me, for not being able to find it or if it breaks. I mean, absolute screaming, cursing, pushing someone around mad. She has been promising to go to therapy and get on meds for her issues since the beginning. She never has. She holds her abusive family over my head. If an argument gets to heated, she be like,'If you really don't want me around, then I'll have no choice but to go back to them." Then state some terrible thing they use to do to her and how it will continue. She can't afford to live on her own. She also loves the attention she gets for "being such a caring girlfriend to this poor, sickly blind person." she acts very differently around non- close friends and her co-workers. But every time I bring up her anger, she swears she has no control and she can't help it. She now uses a few of racial terms at me. I honestly dont know where it came from. I've politely told her to stop. She gets angry and tells me to grow a pair and to stop being a sensitive little bitch. She wants us to get our own place now that we're older, my health is doing better, me being able to get a remote job. Thank you, pandemic? The place with my dad currently isn't really accessible to me. She is mad at my dad for getting a place that is so Unaccessible and his tendency to disregard my needs and safety. She isn't wrong. But my father thinks if I live alone with her, the problems will escalate quickly. I agree. It's gotten worse since we move here and with me needing more help with little things. She wants kids. But I refuse. It's not that I don't want them. I don't want them to deal with this. I'm not even sure if I want to deal with this.

I just want to say this, for all the lads: you’re still valid. Abuse is abuse, and just because you’re a man, doesn’t mean you deserve abuse. It doesn’t mean you deserve a relationship that isn’t fulfilling, or loving. You deserve a good relationship, just like anyone else does. You deserve to be fulfilled, and loved, and happy. Just because you’re a man, doesn’t mean you deserve abuse.

By the time the moment arrived, I had got rid of most of my stuff, had the things I wasn't using right now in my suitcase, my passport renewed, money for an airline ticket and a 24/7 bolt hole arranged. - my trust was that low. Then she asked if she could go gaming that weekend, sure until the trickle truth started. With the guy she'd cheated with. Overnight. Every weekend. As soon as that started, I said it was not okay and heard her tell a friend she couldn't meet them this weekend because she would be gaming. I just looked at her incredulously that she wasn't even going to tell me, packed the rest of my stuff and got a ride to my bolt hole to make my travel plans..

Came home to my thai wife, a week earlier than she thought, wanted to surprise her. I put 12 roses outside her door, went down to the cafè we always had breakfast at, and sent here a message: Check outside your door.... She read it, but it took a long time before she said anything, and when she eventually came down I saw she was super nervous. And then her sister comes down with a guy, I saw it immediately, put my hands on his chest and pushed him into a wall.... and I said to my wife: Who is this guy? She said you know..... you have already figured it out.. Asked him if he knew she was married, he said yes. Did she also tell you that Im 110kg ex-cop? "no.... she left that part out...." Ok.... get the fuck outa here. And then I gave my now ex wife my wedding ring and walked away...

I just want to say to everybody in these stories are even in the comment section who had to end a normal relationship or marriage for whatever reasons that you know you had to cut you know your spouse of your life I'm sorry that you had to go through that and that was the hardest part of your life but I'm just glad that all of y'all are doing so much better and I wish nothing but the best for y'all going forward especially with whoever you're happy with now are even if you're just still by yourself and you still find happiness and that alone or if you have kids just alone to keep you happy and I think that's great especially in both of those situation that anybody couldn't find happiness in but rather than that that's all I wanted to say stay safe out there and never give up life is where's the so much and I don't want to get stuff some people take you for granted and want to just get out of it but that's why I just wanted to say this especially after hearing this one's her video of so many terrible things that those people have gone through in their marriages I just want to wish them nothing but the best and you guys are well

When I caught her cheating. I had known because she's not bright, can't hide anything effectively and completely changes everything about herself to reflect whatever guy she was most interested in at the time. When she started being a rap and ICP fan out of the blue, this informed me she was cheating with her ex. When she started acting goth and going to goth clubs, this informed me she was cheating with a "friend". Thankfully I set her up lol. Told her it was gonna be a long night at work and came home almost 5 hours early. Had the excuse to leave her I was looking for. When she told me she was pregnant (the only reason I married her), I went into husband and father mode. I quit smoking, drinking, didn't hangout with my friends and worked 7 nights a week for my little family. The reason she gave for cheating? Because I was never home at night to cuddle 🤦🏻. Bitch, I'm working 7 nights a week...you think I did that for funsies??

I don't see myself ever getting married. I wanted it so much when I was younger, what my parents had before my dad passed away. But after spending the last ten years on the internet, and especially recently with the woke movement and feminism, it's definitely not going to happen. If I ever do decide to try my luck, it will be after I have a nice little proceedure to permanently 'fix' the possibility of surprise children, without ever telling her otherwise of course, along with a prenup.
@P1RSA
Жыл бұрын
I also have a similar thought, definetely prenup if not, maybe some sort of like non-legal marriage where there is no legalities involved, just like a ceremony that isn't official. You probably get my point.

I really shouldn't have watched this. Very depressing. Divorced my wife of thirty years on November 29th of last year. No fighting, no cheating, no love. Should have done it 20 years ago, but, she had herniated a disc at work and ended up getting three surgeries on her lower back. And I'm the kind of idiot that puts my misery aside and shoulders the responsibility of caring for her because I still loved her. Even though I had already figured out that the only reason she married me was that she and her then 16 year old son needed a new home because the sister she was living with was getting married and my ex didn't want to be a third wheel. But, I began putting money aside, building up a stake, making sure that when I reached my goal I wouldn't have to depend on anyone else. Took me longer than I expected, but I'm much happier now. The depression doesn't hit as often now. Usually just when I have to go through boxes of crap that's been in storage, sorting out what goes to her and what I'm keeping. Or when I do something dumb like watching this video of other people's failed marriages. But, the hurt and anger at being used is going away, and, I did get some encouragement knowing that others have managed to move on, so I can too.

I'll never get how a dude can let a broad walk all over them like that, especially if it involves physical violence. If a woman hits me, she is only telling me all at once that she is ready to be treated like a man and is willing to accept equal consequences. If I was the guy getting smacked about by that woman after major oral surgery like that, there wouldn't be a divorce... There would be a homicide. I'm a VERY patient man, but sometimes there's just no avoiding the justice of sufficient reciprocity lol. But ultimately just don't hit your spouse folks. That's some serious bad form and makes you just the worst...
