I have a Dixie with no click no start. Pull the PTO up and down 15-20 times, it may start. Feel like that’s the issue. Is it easy to replace?

Yes sir just buy a new switch and you’ll be in good shape it sounds like. Just be careful, removing the hardware as you don’t want to lose anything.

I have a 2014 version of that same Dixie Zee 2 (same Kawa motor). clicks when i turn the key. replaced the battery & solenoid, no luck. the key is stuck in the ignition switch but it still turns. I can feel the click in the black cylinder that mounts beside the solenoid...wiring for that cylinder looks like it goes into the main wiring harness. i can't find a part # for that black cylinder. any suggestions?

Have you bypassed the ignition system? Turn the key on, put the positive on the starter and the negative on the frame. The goal is to see if the starter spins. Let me know as I may know exactly what’s going on.

@@Lawnmowercare thanks for responding. no, i didn't try your suggestion but did see other videos that recommended that. i winched it on to my trailer to haul to a guy I trust Sunday morning. before i handed it off, he turned the key. it started immediately?!! tried it several more times, started each time. I hauled it home & drove it back into my storage. i'm betting it'll happen again...seems clearly an electrical issue. the only remaining symptom is i can't get the key out of the starter switch. maybe that switch is the problem?

Did you figure out what caused the Fuse to go bad. It will probably do it again

Genius point! It’s my belief that it wasn’t starting in a timely manner And the ignition system got hot. It’s been tuned up and he also replaced the key switch and solenoid. We inspected wiring to make sure no wires were touching will watch and see what happens.
