I did a super basic version of this years ago for my fiberglass camper shell, after I routed 12v and an inverter to the bed too! Definitely one of my favorite upgrades. When I do this for my DIY GFC I will have the lights positioned the same way you do but have an additional strip that goes at the bottom of the tailgate panel. Then you get no shadows when working/cooking on the tailgate! Another great video. Cheers!

Sick setup man, been copying some of your mods on my tacoma. Any updates on the rf controller? Mine quit soon after I wired it up. Seems kinda hit or miss from the reviews I read. Keep the awesome vids and build going!

Knowing the amps most of those kind of LED's draw, I'd be highly suprised if that wire didn't burn up in a short time.

Any truth to the yellow light being better for bugs?

Honestly can’t really tell ya, I have seen it in action and didn’t see bugs. But I have yet to test it out myself. Time will tell!

I've got a white floodlight on the front of my house & yellow in back yard. To ME it seems the yellow attracts Less bugs than white. Yet the yellow is much easier on the eyes.

Showing off your lights is no help with actually wiring them.

Uhh, did you not watch the video? Because I clearly did show how I wired them 😂

@@pnwxplore Hello, Thank You for these instructions. I do not see the end point of what/how you connect the strips to a power source. Are you placing a USB at the end to plug into a 12 V source?? Thanks again.
