Hello👍I made that same coils to my 2jz gte vvti in March 2022. Coils sit well under stock 2jz gte vvti coil valve cover (that plastic part with toyota ornament "two way turbo". They sit firm and with some pressure that make plastic cover. So I think there is no need to do aluminium support bracket. Better ventilation without it... The idea with drill silicone boots is brillant👌. Must do this mod to my, because it is really pita to put it down with stock silicone ends to 2jz spark plugs. Best wishes 😀👋

Awesome! I made the bracket just to prevent these coils from moving around too much. It shouldn't affect them getting too hot. From all of the research I've done on these they typically don't run too hot

@@LegitRaceCraft hello, I try today drill 9,5 mm bit in that silicone end boot. Ended in ruin it totally🙃. How you drill it? I use new sharp drill bit: it just slip or after hard pushing cut all interior. Anyway, Merry Christmas❄️👋btw: must be somewhere that shorter that silicone all boot so total high that coil will be not as tall and with 10 mm bore on spark plug. I do not think about aftermarket "performance" but normal regular part number from some car model...

It ruined it? That's weird. I just ran the drill slowly into the boot and it slowly cut the silicone

@@LegitRaceCraft I plan on upgrading pistons and rods as well as porting head and adding bc cams. I was looking for around 600-700whp on the NA-T with a rotated intake manifold and changing valve covers to the gte variant just like yours so everything seems to match up so far! lol

@Jack of Trades It really is a lot of work to document this, but I'm trying to crank out a vid a week, so it keeps me busy and keeps me from wasting time on FB/IG..it keeps me doing something productive, so I like the videoing, it moves things along
