I tried watching this while doing a tricky step in my knitting project so ima save this and watch it much closer later because I’ve wanted to knit a basket for forever and this one is very clear! Many thanks for this video!!! ❤

I really like your teaching style. I am new to basket weaving and struggle with packing as my fingers are old! But I am getting better. your instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Thank you for all these great videos. 😊

Love your videos. Love this scrap basket project. I have lots of scrap! What if I wanted to make a larger basket, like a laundry hamper. Instead of 12 spokes(6X2) can i use 16 (8x2). How do you get the larger diameter? I want to keep it round, not grid. and i was thinking of doing it twined. I watched your other video several times.

You would use the same amount of spokes, but try a 1 inch flat reed for more stability.

Can you use uneven spokes to continuously weave?

No, if you use a wooden base and insert an odd number of spokes you can work in continuous weave, but because this is a spoke base basket, you're always working in multiples of two. Hope that helps!

Your fingernails have nothing to do with this video. However, they are so pretty, just saying! As a non basket weaver that is directionally challenged, I followed the tips of your fingers with the color during the video as a guide of what you were doing to move the next piece through!

Thanks! My sister-in-law recently introduced me to dipping powder acrylic nails so I've been having fun with it. Keeping your nails painted is a challenge when you're a basket weaver!
