Hey sweet lady! I just wanted to tell you thank you 😊 I appreciate this video so much bc I dyed my hair with a permanent color and bleached my hair about 2 weeks ago and it turned bright orange!! I hated the color so much and wanted to go back to my normal color which Is dark brown so I bought the same box and shade you used in this video but read you should really wait 2 weeks before using permanent dye on your hair so I waited it out and dyed it tonight it turned out beautifully! I am so happy I was a Lil worried bc I kept hearing if I didn't use a filler first it would turn out green or just terrible but it is fine thanks to you and your video. Thanks again sweetie 😘

Hii, Great video!! For anyone reading I’m a Cosmetology student and I want to give a couple of tips for anyone watching this video. 1: what that comb is doing is essentially the weaving technique for highlights you can get similar results by taking a 1 inch section of hair and zigzagging a rat tail comb through the section. 2. Never put bleach on your skin, it will cause irritation. Use a dye brush and for blending use it standing up with product of the very end of the brush and use gloves even if your not touching the bleach. 3. When using foil to process faster NEVER crumble the foil or you’ll have banding (stripes of light and dark). 4. Take your time and be precise, bleaching is permanent and if your doing it for the first time it’s very easy to mess up especially if your doing balayage highlights. 5. Don’t be stingy with bleach, use a lot. I suggest getting something like B2W and 20/30/40 developer (the higher the developer the lighter your hair will lighten) so you can have full control of the amount of bleach you use. Usually comes with a scooper, use 2 scoops and 1 1/2 scoops of developer and mix with Olaplaex n•3 to combat the amount of hair damage and do this as many times as you need. 6.if your planing of bleaching all your hair or all of a section never take the bleach up to the root, wait until the last 10-15 mins of the bleach processing to apply to the root because the scalp produces heat and will process the bleach on the root faster then the rest of the hair resulting in lighter roots and darker ends. That’s all I can think of that’s happened in the video whether she did these or didn’t do these in the end she looked great and that all that matters. Have a good day everyone ☺️

Thanks so much for taking the time to type this up and help others out!! ♥️♥️ Definitely gonna look in to the olaplex n•3! I think the biggest thing I did wrong was taking huge sections and just slapping bleach everywhere smh. I do have some diy wins if you’d like to watch those too lol!!

Hi I have medium brown hair, and I used the Frost and Glow honey today. I pulled the whole front section which might have been abit much, left it on for 1 hour, and then washed it . The streaks really came out ! The shampoo I use is : in a squeeze bottle mix 1 part distilled or bottled spring water, 1 part your favourite shampoo and 1 part a purple shampoo ( I used L'Oreal Color Radiance purple shampoo ) . I keep this made up formula till I run out and then make up again . I am very pleased with the product .

@DeanndraNunnery
4 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! Oh no I’m sorry that happened to your hair! That’s my biggest fear lol next time try olaplex or a heavy leave in conditioner. Coconut oil doesn’t penetrate the hair follicle to replenish any nutrients. It simply sits on top of it. It makes it feel a little softer because it’s oil but it does nothing to actually repair damage.

Have you upped your Vitamin D, Antacids (calcium) and iron? My hair keep breaking and drying out, it wasn’t until I figured out I was Gluten intolerant and it was drying out my hair from the inside out, so when I bleached my hair was appearing to look worse because of it, but it was the malnutrition caused by the gluten allergy ...ppl forget when you only bleach your hair once a year or so, it shouldn’t cause the amount of damage it did for you or me, so In my op, go gluten free and up your supplements and I think you’ll find your hair will look much better in 10 days. I even had alopecia and my hair started to regrow in two days after 10,000 IU of vit d, calcium 2x a day, and Iron ..weird but true.

Hi Deanndra!! Oh my gosh, I soo relate to this. I'm still growing out my DAMAGED bleached hair because I wanted to create a "certain" look and pretty much dried my long hair😔. So, I was just contemplating dying it one color but wasn't sure which one to use. Because, like I mentioned I have dried out my hair already. Although, it's much better now after conditioning treatments. But, man it was SCARY!😔 But, I want to thank you for doing this video. Personally, I like you with darker hair and low lights. So, after you "corrected" your hair, it looks BEAUTIFUL! Still with some highlights, but not so pronounced! Love it!💕🙏

No, the bleach was fine, you just needed to use an Ash color to take down the orange, or use Red Out ($.99 at Sally’s next time you bleach) then it will bleach to big bird yellow and then use color to your liking..most people don’t understand how to correctly bleach and tone, there is no need to try to bleach to the desired color, it usually never works that way for anyone with dark hair....
@DeanndraNunnery
3 жыл бұрын
Lol it was not fine. The highlights were too chunky and didn’t match when I parted my hair in the middle. Hello, thank you!! You can definitely try! If you do make sure to apply color to your roots LAST! They process faster because of the heat from your scalp. I’m not sure what is available in your country but the color of the brown I used was dark soft brown. It did come out lighter because of the bleach tho. Keep that in mind too. Also I am not a professional, so do your own research before trying this on your own.

When you colour your hair dark it doesn’t create a blank slate, when you go to highlight again every from before will be under this colour.

Lol yes that’s common sense that the bleach is still going to be there. Just like any other color will be under the current color you have. However, this does give me a few months to grow my hair out and cut off the most damaged and colored parts of my hair. When I go to bleach again I have more of a “blank slate” than I would if I kept bleaching and trying to fix.

Hi, the brown suits you better in my opinion. Do you think using the cap method is better compared to using this comb?
@DeanndraNunnery
4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! I really love the brown color! 🥰 So the biggest difference I’ve seen between the two is that the cap is pretty much full proof because it already has the holes placed for you. BUT it is a lot more work and you definitely need someone to help you pull hair through the back especially towards the bottom so you don’t have a super dark under layers. The comb does take time as well. But it is a lot easier to do on your own and if you take your time and work in small sections as I did in my first video, the results are amazing! Just make sure to blend at the top so you don’t get harsh bleach lines close to your roots! They both were pretty easy in my opinion but I would recommend if you are a beginner start with the cap and some help and if you have a level of experience and confidence, go with the comb!!

Haha it was a quick fix for me! Then I was able to go back and fix it later on. (Which was the video where you asked how long bleach was left in btw) ☺️ Also, your hair doesn’t get less damaged after a months time. If it’s too damaged for bleach right after bleaching, it will still be too damaged however long you wait.

@@DeanndraNunnery hi thanks fir getting back to me!! I got a lot of compliments today 😳, I’m sure it bc I curled it. I made the mistake of folding some ends too much n it lightened mid hair looking blotchy, but only on the bottom pieces so I’m able to cover it. In a few weeks I wonder if the blue shampoo will take some if the reddish I see. No one else sees it lol. Your videos are great!!!! Thank uuuu

Don’t be scared I have used this severel times and this is the only fail. It’s because I used the big side of the comb and didn’t section properly.

I’m sorry, but can you please explain to me what your first mistake was? Thank you! ☺️

So my first and biggest mistake was not sectioning my hair properly. I only sectioned my hair in to 4 parts. The first time I used the comb, I sectioned in about 1 inch layers from bottom to top. I honestly was just in a rush and didn’t want to take the time since I thought the comb would do the work for me. It didn’t lol here’s the video where I used this method properly and loveddd my results kzitem.info/news/bejne/zIxr33mlsXWKeKw

Deanndra Nunnery thank you. I’m assuming if you section right the results will come out correctly for touch ups? I bought the comb after watching your video last night and decided I’ll have quarantine hair! Lol.

Oh yeah you are totally freaking awesome beautiful and so brave!! Your hair so SO freakin gorgeous and long. I bet you got major arm muscles 💪 from doing your hair!!! I’m so J! But in a good way! You look good ma!! 🥰💕🦋🌸 Now off to see your blonde me bleach comb video!! (I literally got that comb thingy becuz I saw how you did your hair before - I think it was 1 year ago. Or he ok it was when you first tried it. But I’ve got naturally wavy to curly and it gets stuck in there and I can’t remember if I’m supposed to fatter chunks because when I used the lil side the blonde literally disappears into the bottom. Aka my curls. I’m just scared to use the big side of comb bc my hair is fine to med thickness) anyways have a good day!🥰💕🦋🌸

Did you tone your hair before dying it brown?
@DeanndraNunnery
3 жыл бұрын
Lol no I just slapped box dye over it bc I was in a panic! But this color really helped my hair stay toned when I bleached it again a couple months later. This was my base color when I did the money piece video.

😂 the bleach application was horrible. The chunks were wayyy too thick for my liking and they also didn’t match when I parted in the middle. If it was just the color, I probably would have tried to tone but the whole application was a mess!

After seeing your balayage vid you started from brown, is it ok to start from a medium dark blond (i have orange undertones) with a 20vol? tks
@DeanndraNunnery

Yes bleach works on any hair color. If you have orange undertones use a blue shampoo/conditioner or hair mask to tone

Also, just a thought…maybe let’s grow up and not comment on other women’s faces?! You never know what someone else is going through. This was a really rough pregnancy for me actually. I really hope no one in your life would ever say anything this cruel to you. Have a blessed day.
