ALL resin yellows with time. ALL of it. it's impossible to have resin that doesnt yellow. let's just be clear on that. it doesn't matter if you use the super expensive resin that goes on boats or the stuff sold at Michaels, it all will yellow with time.

Makes me think that saving some of the preserved milk in a little baggie would be a good idea so that when your jewlery yellows too much, you can mix up a new batch of resin with what you have left of preserved powder and reuse the same mold to re-socket the new jewlery

This is true. It has to be made mostly of resin though or it wouldn’t be hard, this is not uncommon for any kind of resin based jewellery. I used more milky podwer in mine and is sunk to the bottom (which was the front) so i could easily see the breastmilk in the necklace. It turned out beautiful.

@@NewLittleLife but I can't found the composition in the details. Is it possible to have? I Want to buy it. Thank you for your time
@johnhildreth6224
3 жыл бұрын
@@pulce-kz9to it's most likely just a combination of potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate, and Plaster of Paris with a smidge of talc powder. The Plaster is what allows it to cure hard so that you can grind and make a powder. The potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate are preservatives that will inhibit and prevent the growth of bacteria and fungus/mold. Talcum will help prevent moisture in the mixed resin. This will help keep it safe and stable long term after mixing with resin. Citric acid might work also. But it would most likely eat through the resin by itself unless you add sodium benzoate also. It will neutralize the acid. I have not tried the citric acid so I can't vouch for it. So, you could use citric acid maybe, but only if you use sodium benzoate also. Those are all cheap ingredients you can find at most stores and coincidentally all those ingredients are white so it won't change the color of the milk powder. You will have to play with the ratios a bit at first though. Everyone keeps this formula such a big secret when all you have to do is talk to a few food scientists or chemists and they can tell you what the "proprietary formula" is. Hopefully this helps.

It only takes 5ml to make a large amount of jewellery. It’s a great way to celebrate the hard work it takes to feed your child. Many mothers use old or expired breastmilk for things like jewellery which is otherwise wasted.

Are you serious right now?? Her milk her choice. And you don’t just donate 5oz of milk. To even donate milk you have to go through tons of steps and have a lot more than a little 5 oz of milk. Moms want a keepsake. Nobody owes nobody any of their milk. Are you even a mom??
