We are (pretty much) done the chicken coop!! I cannot wait to get the girls in their new crib 😂. Now to start the run!

How long did the coop take you from start to finish? Also about how much in lumber did you spend?

Try to find an odd piece of linoleum, usually found at Habitat retail stores, for the floor of the coop. It makes cleaning it out a lot easier.

Thank you so much for posting these videos! My husband and I are building the same coop and I keep coming back to your videos to help guide us! We had the same issue with the nesting box lid and stripped screws! The parts of this job I think will be easy end up being the biggest frustrations! 😂 great work!!! I know how much sweat you put into it!!

Thank you Sarah! So excited to hear you guys are building a coop and thankful my videos are helping! Wasn’t the nesting box lid so frustrating?? And I agree! The parts I thought I would fly through were the ones that ate at my time 😅. I hope your chickens love their new home 🐓

Are you able to explain how you got the nesting box trim to work? I'm having the same issue with the angle and gap. Thank you!

isn't it a pain! The only way we got it to work was by using a friend's table saw! I don't see how else you could get it to work...best of luck!

Ok... so how did you cut the trim under windows at 30⁰??? I am beside myself
@HeartandHomeCrew
5 ай бұрын
I found a friend with a table saw who cut it at that angle for me! I honestly don’t know why the plans don’t talk about it at all because it doesn’t say you need a table saw to cut it that way, but that’s the only way to cut it 🤷🏻♀️

The link is in the description! It's a great plan from Etsy! It was close to $2,000 in the end. The price could vary depending on your wood prices and if you chose cheaper shingles and such.

I bought a tiny coop like that, and it's garbage, the water container wont even fit in it. So i have to build one from scratch. that one that I wasted my money on will go to the curb
@HeartandHomeCrew

right?! I don't know how they get away with saying it fits 3-4 chickens! I am actually keeping my smaller one for if one of my chickens were to ever get sick, I could quarantine them in it, or for baby chicks!
