hey babe i used to work at a custom furry making company - - - - ive got a pro tip for cutting fur: draw out the stencils on the back side with sharpie - do not use scissors to cut, instead use and exacto pressing just light enough to cut the fabric and not hard enough to cut through the fur - this will help get rid of those blunt edges - - - - good luck hat looks cute!

I had to look it up but yes!! With the right fur material, the actual hat suze around your head and brim would have to be mich bigger but yes i can see it being made the same way!

My grandson wants me to make a jamiroquai jay kay fur hat worn by the musician . It looks like a bucket hat with more puffy sides. The brim and top are black and the sides tan. Wish I could attach a picture. Is there a way, using your pattern to alter the pattern to puff out the sides . Thanks !
@JReneeDIY
Жыл бұрын
Hi!! Thanks for sharing. When you sean the sides. So you mean the band of the hat or the brim?
@cyoung6509
Жыл бұрын
@@JReneeDIY The Top section is oversized. The brim is large. It appears that the band is narrower where connected to the brim and then flares out and is attached to the top. It gives the hat a puffy look at the top. There are pictures on the web of this Jay Kay hat. Dk brown brim and very top and tan sides. I want to know how I would have to adjust the pattern to accomplish the Jay Kay look. Thanks
@JReneeDIY
Жыл бұрын
@cyoung6509 i see, the curve for the band would have to be adjusted to be less curved and the circle for the top of the hat you would have to make larger. Start with the larger circle for the top of the hat. Then adjust the band of the hat(middle piece) to look almost like a rectangle i stead of curved. The diameter of the circle top, the middle band, and the inside of the brim should be the same in length. I hope that helps. If not, dm me on ig @_jrenee.designs_
