My father in law has the exact same setup and I am looking to buy one for my husband. I asked my mother in law where they got it and she said all she could remember was a website or something called yall eat yet. Well everytime I goole that a food truck comes up..... Do you sale these or know what site she is referring to? Thanks so much
@strongsadventures
Жыл бұрын
I do know the exact site you are referring to. The Mans name is Johnny Nix. He sold these at one time and he also had a show on the RFD Channel called Y'all eat Yet. We have a few videos of some of his recipes. His set up is where I came up with the Idea of mine. I think he had a few deaths in his family and no longer makes and sells this set up which is very unfortunate. Also unfortunately at this time with my wife and myself working full time jobs I can not build these setups to sell. This video is really in-depth and if you take it to any welding shop they should be able to make it for you. Not sure what it might cost because the price of the material fluctuates so much but I would think it might be around 1 thousand dollars for the material and labor if you have someone else build it. Probably half that if you can do it yourself. Maybe at some point I can make these for sell but at this time I just cant with my current job. Thanks so much for your question though.

Is there need for a vent in the fire box to keep the fire where you want it? I know you have a drain.
@strongsadventures
2 жыл бұрын
Hey thank you so much for your question. Well this is prototype #1 and as big as I built the firebox no there is not need for a vent. However if I can ever get some free time I would like to build a smaller firebox and yes I would think that it would have to have some form of ventilation in it. My main concern with it would be that I don't want embers to be able to fall out and on to the ground. Thank you so much for your question. We always ad these to future ideas that we have.

Thank you so much for asking aj. Johnny Nix used to sell one that was built as heavy duty as mine but I don't think that he is selling them any more. The closest thing I could find was from Guide Gear cooking but it is not as heavily constructed as mine. If you know some one with welding/fabricating skills you could have them make one for you. I would really like to start making and selling these but between both of our real jobs and all the other things we have to do it is not possible at this time . The other factor is that if I would make them the cost for so few products would be really expensive and then there would be shipping cost. We really appreciate your loyalty and following us. If it is ever possible for us to start making this set up for a price that we think is reasonable for folks like yourself to purchase we will let you know. Thank you so much Ryan. I have been asked to by many people but the shipping would be as much as the setup I am afraid. Mine is currently about twice as heavy as any that are sold. That I can find anyways. Thank you so much for watching

nice set up ! how about making one that is much taller like a table height so no need to bend way down ?

Thank you for stopping by Pete. Well the thing about that is then your hooks would be way up high in the air and these pots can be really heavy not to mention very hot. Now I do have a Dutch Oven table that I do use to cook on when I am not using the hook set up and that really helps with not having to bend over and I have an attachment that I can use one of the swing grills with it. I use it in quite a few of the videos that we have on the channel. Thanks again for watching.
