Just finished mine turned out flawless first shot absolutely stocked mate only difference i made was cut and shut the thick side joint completely to make it plug and play with the oem one no need to align anything 😂 thanks for the r&d brother (ps hope yah hand grows back sooner that later) 😉

Fun fact; those ford shafts are the same part as the same era Mazda 2, mostly the same car underneath.

Thanks a lot for this DIY. I noticed my e46 steering shaft u-joint bearings are not good. Do you know where can I find this u-joint. Which measurements should I look for ? Thanks a lot !

I don't see why this wouldn't work on a LHD e46 do you? Trying to avoid buying a $250 slim shaft as I'm v8 swapped

Do you have any idea if an e36 steering column is the same? I know the racks are interchangeable

Ive eyeballed it and i think this would work with e36 too, would need to use e36 shaft ends likely though for it to work with e36 colum.
