Very important, a Sharpie with your tourniquets. If the tourniquet has the white box, write on it when you applied the tourniquet. If no white box, write the info on the pt's forehead. If you render aid for possible heart attack, and give somebody aspirin, it might be a good idea to write with a sharpie on the patient's forehead when and how much. I carry children's aspirin because it's chewable and gets to work thinning blood faster (or so I was told a long time ago) I think it's great that you want to be of service to others by making videos and sharing your knowledge.

@14:03 you probably want to use Nitrile gloves instead of latex. That way if someone is allergic to latex, you're not causing more issues when trying to help them. The bug bite extraction tool should never be used on snakebites. In that case, keep the body part as still as possible and get them to a hospital. And as for the CPR mask, make sure it has a one-way valve. The whole reasoning behind it is, it's not if the person will throw up while you're doing compressions, it's who they're throwing up on (and you don't want to get that in your mouth).

Reagan, you might want to add some 4x4s, and ABD pads for major bleeding. You can get both at amazon or local pharmacy cheap enough. Good job stay safe

Hi Reagan. I was one of the people who suggested the trauma shears in your last video on diy kits. Some other things I carry in my jump kit are... hemostats, ice packs, LOTS of 4x4's and surgical tape, small cheap box cutter, pulse ox, mylar emergency blanket, $12 Stanley multi-tool,glucose tablets, small flashlight, lots of nitrile gloves, a sling bandage, a 36" rolled aluminum splint. There are free aps for a magnifier/light for smartphones. Hope this helps.

12:00 It's been proven that "tourniquets" without a windlass will only stop the bleeding in 1 out of 100 cases, and actually do more harm than good. They may be tight but won't stop the bleeding. Please just get a CAT, SOFTT,... that has been proven to be effective. But most of all, proper training.

Agreed. That is a stasis tourniquet helping to find veins before cannulation and in no way a trauma/emergency tourniquet. Omg 😱 Lots of mistakes, misinformation from an alleged healthcare worker 🙈🙈 CPR mask in not the most valuable part of a first aid kit… please people: no use to put stuff in a bag you have no idea what to use for… and the part about hydrogen peroxide almost killed me 🙈

She is making her kit practical so she doesn’t get in trouble.

@@idrinkbbs It would be more practical to recommend the CAT or SWAT-T tourniquets than something that can easily come loose. If she's able to pull the strap back out of the clamp like that, it's going to loosen up when being used.

blue, yellow, red, and black tourniquets... Those are colors typically used in triaging a mass casualty event, just missing green. You don't want the black one. Really. ;)

I would highly recommend you buy a couple CAT TQ’s off North American Rescue, they’re really not that expensive. Those ones you have will not work. I’d also throw in some better gauze. Believe me, if you ever come across some serious trauma you’d be glad you spent a little extra money!
