The fuel door for my 2008 Tundra was loose. There is a spring inside the 2007-2013 Toyota Tundra Fuel Pocket 77305-0C050 Toyota OEM Part # 77305-0C050.
Since Toyota does not sell the spring itself, you would have to purchase the entire fuel pocket.
Locally/Retail, the replacement fuel pocket price was ~ $110 + Taxachusetts. I have seen them online in the $70 range. I took a small magnet from an old computer speaker and epoxied it to the inside of the fuel door. At one part of this video, I called it a battery(?) I also said that it is flush - might not be 100%, but it's close. I've had it on for a month now and it does the trick. My truck is over 10 years old, so I don't really care if it's not "the right fix". I also like the idea of DIY and problem solving using resources and parts that you already have. Everything used in the video was items I already had in possession. I didn't have to purchase anything that didn't already have.
I hope this video helps you and inspires you to think about solving simple problems in simple ways.
