@MelbourneMaker good job! Glad you persevered! Too much ends up in the landfill or tip as you called it. I wish I had a pressure washer. Couple tips for you. Save the strips of wood you cut off edges of planks. They make great stir sticks, stop blocks for drawers, or in this case...wrap some sandpaper around to get between tight areas. Since I'm a lot older than you and I only learned...you might not be aware there's a product you can get to harden wood. You coat inside the cracks and rotten areas. (If it's not too far gone...you did a great job on the patch btw!). Once everything is hardened and trimmed off the really bad parts like you did on the legs, give everything a good sanding like you did. Save the sawdust and pack it into all those cracks and crevices. Soak with the super glue and sand when it's dry. It'll make it last even longer. You have a beautiful pup! What's their name?

Puppers name is Charlie. He's a very loyal boy, although sadly doesn't like loud noises, so doesn't hang around in the garage while I'm working. Ill take a look into wood hardener, I had only recently heard of it, but had no idea how or, more importantly when to use it, so Ill check it out. Also, really appreciate you watching and all the tips. :)

@@MelbourneMaker he's adorable! Yes pets have much more sensitive hearing bless them. Too bad they don't make hearing protection and safety goggles for furry foremen! Mine is a short haired orange and white tabby we rescued from the slaughter house. Originally I called him Snugglebum because he rarely left my spot on the couch. After a few days his timidity passed and he explored everywhere! Unfortunately he was so tiny (he could sit on one of my hands!), he was able to get into dusty corners I couldn't reach. So his name was updated to Dusty Snugglebum...bahaha. He likes to hang out on his harness and leash with me outside while I work. I have to put him inside when it's time to use a saw.

I got real nervous when you were pounding in the plug that the rail would split. Didn’t even move. Well done!

Yeh came up better than I thought. Nearly binned the idea after the pressure wash stage.

Oh I got PTSD from this one! Last year I took on a job to restore 6 like this. Luckily, they were not as far gone but still a butt-ton of work. (That video didn't do well either :P People hate bench restos obviously hahaha)
