This is so awesome man. I'm in Canada as well and like most people I dont have alot of extra room for a permanent setup. This will be perfect for my garage! Thanks!

update after 2 hours: I had some material laying around and just built it :D I would have never believed it could be so simple! I used regular (aluminum) curtain hooks nothing fancy but i used a lot of them (12), and as net I used a 'fruit' net (the one you use to protect fruit trees), the rest of the material is quite similar to that in the video. 15 min of planning, 20 min of measuring and cutting, 1 hour setting it all up. THANKS!

Can you tell me what the name of the net is - I don’t see it at the bottom of the video

Thanks for the video. Did you use 1/8" cable or 1/16" cable?

Great video. How is the net next to the walls working out? My concern is shanking one and with the net so close to the wall the ball will likely still reach the wall and ricochet around and damage the wall board. Other than that you have sweet setup!

Thanks for posting, I am going to build a similar setup in my garage. Question for you. Did you do anything to protect the ceiling in case you sky one or want to hit wedges? Or has this really been a non-issue?

This is awesome! Can you explain the purpose of the nylon mesh? Couldn't this golf net work by itself? And also, when you said you have clamps to hold cable, what are those?

Have you hit any worm burners? How did the netting react? Thinking of doing something like this and worried that a low mis-hit is going to go underneath the netting and hit whatever is behind.

1. Is your mat pretty sturdy on the ground? Unlike yours, I’m thinking of getting one that I wouldn’t be standing on. Any advice on how to stabilize it? 2. What’s your advice on noise reduction?

Mat is plenty sturdy and as for noise the net really helps reduce echo.

Hey Ryan, great video. I take it you got the aircraft cable/turnbuckle, eye hook from HomeDepot or Lowe’s in Canada? Would you be able to post the links to the hardware you bought? I am in Canada and looking to build a sim as well in my garage.

Thanks for watching - I got all the hardware from my local Home Hardware. The cable was bought by the foot and everything else was in the same part of the hardware section.

Kidding man! I think i will try this idea, I might not also since its a two car garage and probably will require more tension. Did you use toggle bolts to secure to the stud?
