2.1 setup including 4 Dayton PC83-4 drivers and one Tang Band w5-1138SMF subwoofer. Speakers are powered by Yamaha HTR-5730 and Sub powered by a Dayton Audio 25w amp.
Those are some nice speakers for what they are. It's just a pity they are so ugly. I'd have to back mount them or recess them with some kind of round bezel.

Hi there. Good vid. I like the the daytons. Would you recommend them? I want to build a diy portable box with them.

Leu Alex they are very nice sounding full range but bass is lacking unless a large ported enclosure is used. I would recommend passive radiators to add some more lowend. Keep in mind there is only 2mm xmax so that is gonna limit output

Ya i think thats good. Try installing winisd pro to model a box with a passive radiator and to make sure that the pc83 is good with PR

They are not very usfull with these kind of PR .... only when I use 4 PR for one speaker. So : normal BR. Do you have a frequenzy filter or somthing like that?

I would use a high pass filter at 50 hz in a box that is around .3 to .4 ft3 for two speakers. These will reach 50-55hz. Also added dampening material, i didnt add any damping and i do notice a fair bit of resonance

Couple things. 1. What song is that? Sounds like Some remix. I like it. 2. I wasnt so sure about the mids and highs with Dayton speakers cause seems everyone always shows off the system bass. Are they really quite well balanced and clear in person?

BOOST MENTALITY song is vacant broken. Mids and highs are pretty good. The treble is accurate and consistent but it has a slight plasticy sound. The mids are very smooth. Midbass can be weak in an undamped room but otherwise its not bad.
