Hi guys! I hope you enjoy these two air dry clay projects. Don't forget to check my other clay related videos if you love working with air dry clay. I left the links for you in the description box.

Do you have any times for "waterproofing" clay projects that are intended for plants? I'm afraid it'd fall apart after a few times watering the plant! 💚 I love your videos for the clay home decor by the way, they're so beautiful!

Really appreciate you sharing with us! One question…do the bells actually make any sound? Is it just kind of a clunking or do they sound anything like “”real” bells made from natural clay baked in a kiln? Thanks so much!:-)
@charliblake8551

@@chels10902 sadly that’s one thing you can’t do with polymer clays. They’ll never be completely water proof or safe to eat/drink from…even if they are glazed. Recently I’ve been building little hanging flower pots from glass jars with air dry clay over them. This works really well so long as you keep the plant in a small plastic pot inside the jar so it can still drain. It’s the only work around I’ve found so far since eventually air dry clay would get mushy if exposed to water constantly. Hope this helps even though your comment is from a while ago!🤗

I move to a bigger place in a few months and I look forward to do creative projects like these :) ! Now I eat, sleep and work in a studio rental and I really don't have enough place... But I will have an extra room soon that I'll use to paint, use clay and do all kind of creative things. I plan to use an old table and lay down some bedsheets on the floor so it doesn't matter if things get dirty. Thanks for making these videos!

You have very good ideas, and the Handles .. pure genius 👏!! I like how you added extra beads for length of string for bells to hang. It's all about the details in finishing products! Do you have a video on wooden rolling pins that have the design cut into them, to roll on clay? I saw the one with hemp material, but I have boughten 5 different designed rollers and not sure how to use without losing design. Add link if can, Thank you dear 💗🌸

Love all what you made, you really know how to finish off a project, those handles on the jewelry dish were beautiful they made a boho feeling for me and those bell would fit in a minimalist/boho/post modern/ looks,and if any one lives near water they could paint them blue and white and it would then be coastal.😍🤩😍🤩👏👏👏

Does decoupage seal air dry clay Safely for i.e. the use as soap dish? Or any other recommendations? Thanks in advance! Beautiful projects 🤗
@simplybya
3 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😊 To be completely honest I'm not 100% sure about this. Mod podge won't be strong enough to make it fully waterproof. Use varnish, acrylic sealer or liquid epoxy resin to seal your clay if you want it to be waterproof. I might try it myself to be sure it works as I get many questions about soap dish made out of air dry clay. 🤔

@@simplybya thank you for responding. It’s a pity because I am enjoying working with air dry clay and would like to make items which could go beyond decorative purposes. I assume that being food safe is related with the nature of the clay then like pottery clay, along with the baking process, etc.
